I like it. Second and a 4th round pick back.

I thought it was despicable the way Rangers fans treated Lindgren this year, but I’m not surprised as most of our fan base is a bunch of fucking morons.

Can’t really complain about this deal. Seems like a good one. Vesey getting anything is a plus and Lindgren has gotten beaten up here.

I think we’re getting back our own second round pick as it would be higher than Carolinas.

Drury picking up another former 1st rounder for Lindgren who was an obvious trade candidate, think most fans appreciated his effort here.

Very good start with awareness the Rangers are sellers - the Rangers also retained 50% of Lindgren's cap hit, which is fine for just this season. I figured they'd get a 2nd for Lindgren, so pretty much as expected. We had no 2nd rounders for the next 3 drafts, so it's good to get one back.

Tip of the cap to Lindgren, he was a very solid Ranger, hardworking and left it all on the ice for his team and teammates. Thanks for all you did here Ryan.

The 2nd is our pick or Carolinas, whichever one is better. The 4th is from Colorado or Vancouver, whichever one is better.

Smith should bring at least a second rounder back, maybe two. Kreider easily should bring back the second round pick.

I would be surprised if we get a 2nd for Smith, I'll say a 3rd for Smith, but hopefully I'm wrong.

As for Kreider, I think he could even get a 1st back, but if we don't retain any money, maybe it would be a 2nd (and I would prefer not to retain as his contract goes for two more seasons and I don't want dead money). So, I'd say a 2nd, or even if I had to take only a 3rd to clear his cap hit fully I would do it.

I would absolutely 1000000% trade Kreider. Clearing his $6.5M would be huge and set us up even better for a very big summer with a lot of cap space and flexibility to vastly improve the team. Trading Kreider before next week would be near the top of my list if I were Drury.

Smith will absolutely get a second round pick back. He’s been an unbelievably clutch and good playoff performer his entire career

I'd lean 3rd for Smith, which would perfectly fine to help restocking. Kreids could bring a 1st if they eat money like Chuck said. I wouldn't even be opposed to to trading Lafreniere if a team like Montreal gave a 1st and maybe an add-on pick/prospect.

At this point no one should be untouchable if the right offer comes along. The only caveat being I don’t want to see young players traded and dogs like Z and Kreider get to stay.

Kreider, Kreider, Kreider, I make every effort possible to trade him by Friday. I say that while also agreeing no one should be untouchable in the right deal.

Anything less than a second for Smith is unacceptable.

In a great sign, Smith held out today for trade reasons. We'll see how it all plays out but thank you Drury for realizing what this team is and dealing away the UFA's to be at the very least. The next question is will any other guys be dealt like Kreider.

As for return, I still think a 3rd will be more likely for Smith, but if there is a bidding war hopefully Drury can get a 2nd, which I of course would be happy with.
