I saw this on the Raptors forum and I figured why not here?? Rank from best to worst the Magic players on the roster. Not necessarily your favorites but the ones with the most importance to the team. Obviously number 1 is Dwight Howard but some people have different opinions on #2 & 3 respectively.
1. Dwight Howard 2. Trevor Ariza(5-12 now without Ariza and 22-14 with him, enough said) 3. Darko Milicic 4. Grant Hill 5. Hedo Turkoglu 6. Jameer Nelson 7. Keith Bogans 8. Tony Battie 9. Bo Outlaw(his energy when he comes in and the impact he makes on the crowd puts him at 9) 10. Keyon Dooling 11. Carlos Arroyo 12. JJ Redick 13. Travis Diener 14. Pat Garrity 15. James Augustine(just cause he's gotten 5 total mins this season)
1. Dwight Howard (kinda obvious, without him we're terrible) 2. Trevor Ariza (he's really come into his own this year) 3. Darko Milicic (progressing nicely, still has some work to do) 4. Grant Hill (veteran presence, leader, and good scorer) 5. Jameer Nelson (while he has regressed, he's still our floor general) 6. Keith Bogans (good defender, improved three point shot, great acquisition) 7. Hedo Turkoglu (spreads the defense but has really regressed, always sick) 8. Tony Battie (good veteran big that can come off the bench to rebound and defend, knows his role) 9. Keyon Dooling (defense and scoring every now and then, needs to realize role on this team) 10. Travis Diener (I love everything I've seen from him, lots of heart, great shot) 11. J.J. Redick (has really played well lately, stretches the defense, better than I expected) 12. Bo Outlaw (while he does bring energy, he isn't a threat to other teams) 13. Carlos Arroyo (can run the fast break but makes a lot of dumb mistakes) 14. James Augustine (we haven't seen much of him but he doesn't make me pull my hair out like Garrity) 15. Pat Garrity (he's Pat Garrity)
1. Dwight 2. Grant 3. Jameer 4. Ariza 5. Hedo 6. Darko 7. Dooling 8. Diener 9. Arroyo 10. Bogans 11. Battie 12. Redick 13. Bo 14. Augustine 15. Magic Dance team 16. Stuff the mascott 17. Garrity

There was an old thread on this same topic over the summer. http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57583 Funny how things change. Nelson dropped a lot and Ariza skyrocketed.
Rofl, I love the fact that people put Arroyo in front of Ariza in that old list. I'll just give my top 5. 1). Dwight 2). Ariza 3). Hedo 4). Darko 5). Jameer I.e. C- Dwight PF - Darko SF - Ariza SG - Hedo PG - Jameer
Darko hasn't had the type of impact that Hedo has had, atleast imo. I could probably check it statistically and go durvasa, but from watching the games, Hedo has made a lot of key/nice plays throughout the season. Not selling Darko short, I ranked him high, as he really does help the club. Just not as much as Hedo imo. I'll probably look into it statisically and might revise my selections tomorrow, as I don't want to do it now. Too tired, and it is a bit late here.

I almost ranked Hedo higher than Darko too, but I had to side with Darko just because of his potential and how he has been doing lately when given time.

A short amount of time(starter wise), compared to a long period doesn't show how much more effective someone can be. Atleast imo.

If he can find his stroke(like yesterday), then we are going to be a VERY dangerous team the rest of the season, because he can be that legitimate scorer that we've been talking about trying to get. When he is scoring like that then that will open up Dwight/Darko.
If Hedo didn't regress and didn't constantly have flu like symptoms, I'd consider him ahead of Darko. However, this season he has shown that he is a streaky defender with below average defense who can't help this team unless his shot is falling (because he can't stretch defenses on nights where he can't buy a basket). Meanwhile, Darko has been able to play good on offense and defense when given the minutes and hasn't disappointed like Hedo has.
1) JJ Redick..no question haha, JJ is my boy. I got his number, everything we do is practically the same.
I'm actually becoming a huge J.J. Redick fan. I questioned the selection at first but now I love the pick. He's becoming a fan favorite here in Orlando (unless your name is Brett) and he has proven to me that he can play at this level. His game isn't as one dimensional as I thought and his defense is actually better than I expected. Redick spreads the floor and stats have shown that Dwight Howard plays better when J.J. is in the game. Defenses respect him because of everything he did in college and whenever he gets the ball the Amway Arena just erupts. He definitely has the ability to shift the game's momentum when the ball is in his hands. At the Magic-Spurs game, Redick shot the ball and everyone stood up and then right when it dropped the whole stadium went nuts. Shortly after, he made another three and it started our run which eventually led to our comeback. J.J. is the guy people love to hate but I'm starting to really like the guy. It's easy to like him when he's on your team and his confidence/cockiness doesn't bother me (in fact, I like his swagger). He is a winner and I see him becoming a very good player in the next couple of years as long as Brian Hill gives him a chance.
1) Dwight 2)Ariza(come on, look at that record w/out him) 3)Darko 4)Hedo 5)G.Hill 6)Nelson 7)Bogans 8)Arroyo 9)Battie 10)Outlaw 11)Redick 12)Diener 13)Dooling 14)Augustine 15)Garrity(technically he's on the roster) <div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheHighness:</div><div class="quote_post">15. Did it carry over from college? Did it get to his head? Doesn't really matter now, this is the NBA and he hasn't done much of anything. Most of the time I just feel like I want to punch him when reading his interviews. Like I sadi before though, I love his game. I saw him do a turn around jumper and it was just nasty. Got the defender looking stupid.
