Give or take a couple of players and personal preferences and I think we can generally agree on most "lists".
Here's CBS Sports' top 15 SS.

    http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on...-shortstops-in-major-league-baseball-for-2016

    1) Correa
    2) Crawford
    3) Tulo, 31 yrs old, wrong side of range, owed over 100 mil
    4) Lindor
    5) Bogaerts
    6) A. Russell
    7) Seager
    T8) Jung Ho Kang
    T8) A. Simmons
    10) Peralta 33yrs old
    11) A. Escobar
    12) Desmond
    13) Gregorius
    14) Iglesias
    15) A. Cabrera

For those who consider WAR, Gregorius was 6th with 3.3 mark.
Not sure about Alcides Escobar ranked ahead of Gregorius,
    Didi: .265 / .688 OPS, 9 HR/ 56 RBI -
    Escobar: 257 / .614 OPS, 3 HR/ 47 RBI....
    ....and Didi had a higher WAR 3.3 - 2.0

Addison Russell can be another debatable choice.
Didi had more RBI, out-hit him .265- .242, but Russell out homered him 13-9 and had an OPS of .696 - .688.....but played just 61 G at SS and had a significantly lower R/F per 9 inn than league average, 3.93 with .981 fldg% compared with Didi 4.24 R/F per 9 inn with .979 fldg%.

    Ian Desmond:
    19 HR/ 62 RBI, .233 BA, .674 OPS, 27 errors, .960 fldg%, 4.27 R/F per 9 inn
    Didi:
    9 HR/ 56 RBI, .265 BA, .688 OPS

Simmons- terrific glove man can't complain about his ranking over Didi......but he had "nothing" on Didi offensively while making quite a few more bucks.
Both hit .265, both stole 5/8 bases, Didi (10 less AB) hit more HRs with more RBI and an OPS of .688 to .660
