This was taken from a Chargers fan site, and I agree with it 100%:

He needs to get healthy. He has no burst in his step and his line isn't giving him any protection. No burts + no protection = terrible production.

Sproles is more than capable of handling 20+ carries a game and with his speed, he's a receiving threat, as well. And if Norv would switch up the god damn play calling and run to the outside instead of in between the tackles every once in a while, we wouldn't be so predictable.

Sit LT and give Sproles and Hester a shot to produce. I guarantee it'll help a ton.

I think one of the main reasons that LT is out there trying to play through this injury is the heat he took from the media last year when he sat through that New England game.

There is no reason to bench LT. Even if he isn;t performing his best; he is still an elite talent. He changes defenses....

I think benching was a bad word to use, but I think he needs to sit a week or two to get healthy. Right now, he isn't a threat. Sproles is our biggest threat right now; we need to utilize him in our offense more.

Sproles is effective. His quickness is hard to game plan for. But do you think Sproles is better than an injured Tomlinson?

(I need to pass out..... I'll get back to this thread tomorrow)

That's a good point. Hopefully, he regains full health and stays as good as he was. Sad to see so many running backs be beasts, but then have a huge downfall (Shaun Alexander, Priest Holmes, etc.)

I think Sproles has been our most consistent RB and biggest threat out of the backfield, maybe top 3 on the team in terms of being a threat, all season long. He's had huge plays on KR, running the ball, and receiving the ball. Right now, he's the healthiest option we've got and is more of a big play threat than Tomlinson.

Well if I were a Chargers fan, I wouldn't want LT to get even more seriously injured. The NFL can be quite harsh on RBs.
