Here at Target Center's practice facilities, several of the Wolves continue to work out on a daily basis in preparation for training camp, now just a week away.

After playing some 4-on-4 and being taken through shooting, fitness and strength drills by Minnesota's coaches, new Wolves Gerald Green and Ryan Gomes sat down with us to talk about elements of pop culture they use to relax after leaving the building. Read on to see who used to wear a Jerry Rice throwback, who likes Kanye more than 50 and which former Celtic loves to watch BET's "Hell Date."

Mike Trudell: Gentlemen, if I were to look in your DVD player right now, what would I find?
Gerald Green: My favorite movie today is called "Shottas."

MT: Huh?
Ryan Gomes: Yeah, that's S-h-o-t-t-a-s. It's about these Jamaican gangsters.
Green: It's like the Jamaican "Scarface."*
*Note from the editor: We looked it up. "Shottas" is a Jamaican gangster flick about two friends raised on the dangerous streets of Kingston. "Shotta" is the Jamaican term for gangster. Check it.

MT: OK Ryan, favorite recent movie, please.
Gomes: It's going to be either "Blood Diamond" or "The Departed." Those are my two favorites right now.
Green: My all-time favorite has to be either "Above the Rim" or "Face Off."

MT: 2pac and Travolta/Cage. Solid.
Gomes: Probably "Scarface," but I love "Coming to America." I'm a comedy guy.

MT: Let's move over to fashion. I spoke to Craig Smith about this the other day. Give me what was cool to wear in high school?
Green: Jerseys. I used to always switch jerseys with one of my best friends, who is like a brother to me. We used to wear the throwbacks -- football jerseys like Earl Campbell's.

MT: Right, that was the baby-blue Oilers jersey. Any jerseys for you, Ryan?
Gomes: Yes, there was a three-year period of time where throwback jerseys were really hot. I had Jerry Rice, I had the Chargers jerseys ... it's more of the colors and what sneakers were out.

MT: Had to match them up...
Green: Yeah, like I used to wear the Jordan hat with the Jordan shoes and the jersey with the NBA Finals tag on it. I had the Julius Erving, Dominique Wilkins, all that.

MT: Who is better between you two on Playstation 2 or Xbox 360?
Green: I don't really play video games. He's probably better.

MT: Imagine that! So then, what do you do in your free-time, GG?
Green: I like screw music. That's what we do in H-Town (Houston).

MT: You're going to have to tell us more about that, Gerald.
Green: It's the type of music where it's really slowed down, but it's not like R & B. It's big in Houston. It's DJ music where the beat is slowed down. I got into it from a guy named DJ Screw. I'm a really big music guy.
Gomes: Paul Wall's first song he came out with was "Screwed Up." It's like that.

MT: I'll check it out, but I'm a bit busy learning the Soulja Boy dance...
Gomes: You are?
Green: Tight.

MT: OK Gerald, as a big music guy, what's going on in the music scene right now other than that Houston screw music?
Gerald: My favorite rapper is Young Jeezy. No doubt, no doubt! I've always been a big fan of UGK though. They just came out with a new album. Right now, those are the two that I'm really jamming hard with.

MT: UGK of course being the Underground Kingz (Bun B and Pimp C). My favorite Young Geezy song, you're wondering? "My Hood." Every time I do it, I do for my hood. You know.
Green: No, not that one. You have to do the ... well I can't say that, we have to keep it clean. But mix tapes like "Thug Motivation 101," or "I Got Money."

MT: Yeah, keep it clean. Alright, Gomes give me your music update.
Gomes: Right now, it's about the Kanye West and 50 Cents albums. I'm a big 50 Cent fan. I like music, so I listen to everything. I usually get mix tape CD's, and I don't really buy too many albums. I'd rather just buy mix tapes CD's since sometimes you only listen to two or three tracks and it's a waste. I do play a lot of video games, like Tiger Woods Golf and NBA Live.

MT: What system do you have?
Gomes: Playstation. I haven't played 360 yet, but everybody tells me its good. I have to try it. I like the sports games, but don't get into the shooting ones too much.
(Sebastian Telfair walks by)

Gomes: Actually, Sebastian Telfair has had my laptop since May. I'm trying to get that back today so I can get some songs.
MT: Hey Sebastian, you should give it back, man. You're using it to download songs, aren't you?
Telfair: I'm listening to Kanye right now.

MT: Are you trying to get 50 to retire or something?
Telfair: No, I support 50 too.

MT: All right. Gerald, as far as TV shows go, it's time for all of the season premieres this week. What are you going to be watching?
Green: Martin. I love Martin man.

MT: Well, that's old school. Anything new?
Gomes: I watched "Flavor of Love." That was funny.

MT: No question about that. Whom would you have picked to win?
Green: Delicious was tough. She's fine.

MT: No way! Hoops in season one was all right.
Gomes: "Sleeper Cell" is pretty good. I got hooked on that last season.
Green: You know what else I like? "Hell Date" on BET. Oh man. It's almost like "Punk'd," but not really. It's just dates from hell that they set up for people. Gomes: You've never seen that Mike? Oh, man. They'll ask the person what they like or admire in a date, and then go out and find the total opposite. Then they go on a date.

Green: So say if a girl asks for a guy that is strong and very sweet, they'll ask for a guy that's skinny as heck, weak as heck, and just a total punk.
MT: That sounds terrific. I'm going to leave you guys to go set my TIVO.

Haha, man, can't wait for the season to start!
