Golden State has been doing a little damage control recently saying that they only offered Lee up in trades to appraise his value, so take this FWIW. Lee was offered up to Toronto in exchange for Bargnani. The All-Star averaged 18/11 for the Warriors this past season but is owed $30.5-million over the next two years. The Warriors are paying Andris Biedrins $9-million and Andrew Bogut $14-million this season already with Stephen Curry's contract rolling over from rookie scale to eight-figure extension. The Warriors are on the hook for $70-million in salaries not including a possible new deal for Jarrett Jack. Presumably Ujiri is in the business of cutting costs and wins for the Raps as he rebuilds the team.
