well...no game thread, so i thought id post something lol.

raps lose again, and at least this time it wasnt a heart breaker...we pretty much sucked all game long lol.

vince had a strong start and hit his first 5 shots...but SURPRISE SURPRISE they were ALL jumpers. he did have one dunk though. oh goody [IMG]

ya know what iv noticed? even palacio takes it to the rack more then vince. good god what does that say? you'd think he'd sit on the bench and watch other guys take it to the rack and say..."geez i could do that"

bosh struggled...turned the ball over and travelled a couple of times...but ya know what...id rather see bosh travel in the paint trying to get good position under the bucket, and turn the ball over, then see vince take another fade-away 3 with a defender in his shorts with 18 seconds on the shot clock.

pape sow saw some minutes....hes actually pretty active down low...he could turn out to be a decent player

Well I've been doing the game threads for the past two games but unfortunately, I don't have enough time to do it anymore (I had two weeks off from work, but now I'm back to the old schedule). So sorry, but someone else will have to take over for the threads from now one.

Pretty pathetic game tonight though. The only positive that came out of it was that Sow, Araujo, and Moiso got to play some minutes. I really think we should play Araujo more. I don't care if he makes a lot mistakes right now, those things happen when you're a rookie, but we desperately need his power under the bucket. I'm sick of seeing our front court getting out-muscled ever game.... we need Araujo in there.

I think one of the main reasons why we're on this 3 game losing streak is because of Marshall's injury. We really need his veteran experience in the front court.

Yes, Araujo shoulda played more beginning of 2nd half when brand/wilcox were ruling the boards...at least Araujo coulda banged a little bit with brand and throw bosh on wilcox. Maggete, great player, id take him over vince anyday...

Two things: 1) Araujo is a no no. That guy is the most overrated power player of all time. He got packed twice yesterday, turned it over a couple of times. Pape Sow is so much better than him, stronger, more athletic, and more competitive. Sam Mitchell said it himself this guy is a project (Arajuo, his potential is a bench warmer) and Pape Sow he said (reminds him of Ben Wallace).
    2) If Carter was smart, and wasn't complacent he would still be tearing the league apart. Im not sure u would take Magette then. But right now I would do the same as u.

looking over at the boxscore i can't believe vince jacked up 23 shots, hitting on 9 of them in 25 minutes, pathetic vince!!! it was all about him, his platitude about "Winning" is so old and disingenuous now. last night was all about him, he wasn't concerned about winning, he just wanted to prove that he could still score. i've vented my frustrations about jalen's anti-team play but at least he cares. they need to trade vince even if its for the proverbial "Scrub" cause he's clearly creating schism's, cliques on the team.

Thats true , Vince is so inefficient at scoring. his percentage is going down every year. But this year, whoa. He ain't shootin like an nba player. I could shoot way better than him. First off I wouldn't take the same shot everytime so every player knows my next move. Then I wouldn't be afraid of the tiniest bit of contact. Toughen up Vince. And its true, eventhough Vince said he doesn't care about numbers, he really does.

I wanted Maggette for Vince before the season, but I think it's too late to do that deal now.
Honestly, I'm not that disappointed by the Raps so far. Going into the season, I thought they would come out of this road trip with a losing record. They've been competitive in all of their games, except two. If they can come out .500 I'd be happy. Lots of people got huge expectations after they beat some good team, but I'm happy taking any wins I can.
