since nobody else did it, here's my low tech game thread.

Game Story: Key injuries to Bosh, Jameer Nelson, Hedo have made this an unpredictable game to call.

X Factor: TJ FORD, please play smart

    Questions
-Will an inept rebounding team in the raptors, curb dwight howards dominance on the boards?
-how will chuck annoy us tonight?
-will the non-existent raptor bench as of late, step up?

I think i just entered some alternate universe during the first quarter. Howard got rejected by the raptors about three times and some people are actually playing defense.

You are just completely dominating every facet of this game. Magic don't seem like they want to be there and Raptors look like they are on a mission. Diener has played big minutes so far backing up Arroyo.

I think that actually happened. No word on if Chuck is on the take or not. Orlando's roster is rather depleted. For this reason we may still have a shot in this game. I'd be worried about Rasho running out of energy and Dwight taking over in the 2nd, before i make any bold ideas about the result.

Boy did that start totally surprise me. I'm skeptical about how long we can keep shooting this good, though.

darko and howard might have the two best nba bodies (length and chiseled physique) in the league

It's funny, Darko and Dwight are like the exact opposite of Bosh and Bargnani. Both of them operate well in the paint, rebounding and defending, while ours are much more versatile offensive threats.

me wonders how great it would be if we still had carlos arroyo. btw, it looks like the darko and arroyo for cato trade is one of the more lopsided trades ever, especially in light of the pistons using their cap room to acquire nazr mohammed and flip murray [IMG]

Great game by Bargnani. His 3 pt. shooting bailed us out the entire game. And Rasho was the underrated star who was just as important. His defence on Dwight was great and he was the only one rebounding on a consistent basis.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">-how will chuck annoy us tonight?</div>
"The Orlando Magic have fallen in love with the 3-ball!"
(Raptors have 17 3 pt. attempts, as opposed the Magic's 12).

    "....This ball game is over!"
(Still one minute left with at least 2 meaningful possessions).

Thx, for us they dont' come that often. Raptors comentators were all over Brian Hill for not putting his starters back in the game soon enough, i thought that was pretty crucial for you guys. Rasho did a decent job but i dont' think he had much energy left by the end to contain howard.

I know everyone is going to go nuts over Bargnani after this game and he did play well, but Nesterovic is the only reason Dwight Howard didn't completely dismantle us. For a team that is lacking rebounds and an inside presence this guy should be logging consistant minutes, cut back on Garbo or something ... he hasn't been that great.

Who was Bargnani being interviewed by after the game?

Didn't really watch the game that much, but I'm ticked that I benched Bargnani on my fantasy team.

To tell you the truth, I would prefer Bargnani scoring 10 points in the paint over 20 points from the perimeter. He'll rebound more, bring the toughness that we sorely lack without Nesterovic and Bosh, and jumpstart his development towards our future 5. I'm not going to complain today, because his shooting made up for our horrible offensive sets, but I really don't like the way he's being used.

Ever since Colangelo told Mitchell to give Andrea some more playing time, he has stepped up. He looks better than Dirk did in his first season.

Yeah same with me. I just saw the highlights on the Score from the game and I was kind of dissapointed to see that all the highlights of Bargnani were of him taking 3's or jumpshots. Though, the one thing I like that I saw (which I saw live) was when Bargnani put the ball on the floor, made a couple of moves to get open and made an open jumper. I'd like to see him get the ball in the post more, facing up or not and try his thing there. The one time I saw him drive to the basket, he went baseline past Darko and made a bad pass after leaving his feet and meeting Dwight at the basket.
