catch the game @7 on on TSN2 pg: alston sg: wade sf: q. rich pf: beasley c: J.O. key reserves: chalmers, joel anthony raps pg: jack sg: weems (demar a no go and he was snubbed for the all star game as well today) sf:hedo pf: bosh c: bargs sixth man: caledron game notes: big game for the fifth spot and could be instrumental in tie breaker scenario's in the future. also, important to note that miami is coming off a heartbreaking loss at home to cleveland- a game they dominated for 47 minutes. and the game thread girl...
chris bosh and hedo didnt come to play tonight- both have committed careless turnovers, arent shooting the ball well and both have played pathetic defense.
at least until tomorrow- we're the fifth place toronto raptors!!! triano almost lost us the game again by playing caledron over jack in the fourth quarter.
Didn't watch the game but checked out the boxscores. It seems like Bargs and Bosh both had pretty huge games, it's nice to see them start to play well together. It looked like the raps' bench killed their bench, in term of +/- at least. Hedo continues to be a waste...
all true statements, particularly the last one about hedo. bosh's second half was tremendous, especially the fourth where he was very efficient. and bargs had 14 points in the third quarter alone.
Na on the Jose thing. I did question it, but Jose had a good game as well. He had a one really bad possession where he missed two straight shots. Besides that he did a good job running the team at the end of the game and set up the dagger. 6 7 and 6 is pretty good
i didnt watch the game either.. but what happened to beasley? how come he didnt get much burn? last time he played against us he killed us.. him sitting out was probably the difference maker..
Earlier I said Hedo was a waste, but if he continues to take down opposing players then all will be forgotten.
I only saw a bit of the game... saw Beasley go down, didn't look healthy... hopefully he's okay but considering we're battling them for a playoff spot... this was a game we needed to win and it shows that the team is improving because they knew it and played hard.
u noticed what miami was doing at the end of the game- they were running pick and roll incessantly with wade and alston to expose caledron who was guarding alston. im almost certain miami would normally want wade matched with a big but they figure caledron is a better matchup for wade than fuckin bargnani and hedo, thats saying something. plus, caledron missed a few shots as u pointed out, and i also thought he committed an offensive foul on a charge but it was called the other way.
To be fair to Jose too, Alston had a lot of troubles all game, regardless of which guy was on him. With this, he took a chance with the better offensive player in case wade went off. I initially questioned it as well, but having Jose finish made sense. Both would have.
we won so it's a little more digestible than if we loss, however, i feel we won in spite of jose. the trio of bosh, wright and bargnani were flawless at the end of the game on both ends and beli provided the instant surge in the fourth quarter to push the lead.
