pg: watson sg: rush sf: dunleavy pf: granger c: murphy key reserves: hibbert, head. d.jones, price pg: jack sg: weems sf: wright pf: bosh c: bargs sixth man: caledron game notes: the pacers went small on sunday and the raps had trouble matching up, in fact, the coaches and players admitted as such yesterday at practice. so i give the pacers a chance, especially in light of granger playing a sub par game on sunday. also, hedo and derozan are out for tonights game. usually we have the game thread girl but i thought maybe we should try something different. i think from here on in- we should have a song attached to these threads to get us in the mood for the game. so here it is.... good choice of song, i liked the canadian hip hop back then. chocolair song was another goodem. i remember when kardinal was just making it semi big with bakardi slang and he was performing at the vince carter all star game and before the game vince was explaining to all the players the schedule how they would play the first half and then at half time there would be some local performer and the other players were like "well who is it?" and vince was like "i dunno" and the players asked well vince its your event you must know who it is? and vince said like some canadian performer. anyways memories of when i had a raptortv,,,, hopefully the raps can keep it going tonite with a win.
i hate to admit this but i was actually celebrating when jose rolled his ankle. hopefully we can finally see some defense from the backup point guard spot because im tired of earl watson and price abusing jose off the dribble.
triano is costing us a ton of games. why? first, our efforts to start the first and third quarters are lackluster so obviously is message isnt being accepted or they just stopped listening. to that end, bosh said something that peeked my interest- he said that triano wanted him to go fast off the catch but he decided to switch it up, so that defenses couldnt lock in to his move. essentially he told triano to stfu through the media. secondly, triano's obdurate insistence on playing caledron is costing us games. i will accept that caledron is better than jack at running the offense but that difference is negligible. however, caledron's defense is horrendous, i mean historic in just how bad it it, while jack is alright. for instance- watson and price did one thing consistently tonight and that was attack jose off the dribble and were rewarded with big nights for their effort. then watson tried to do the same thing to banks on multiple occasions at the end of the game and i dont think he got by him even once.
