On Tuesday, the 76ers were blown out by New Jersey at home, 94-76, for their third straight defeat and sixth in seventh games. It was their most-lopsided defeat this season. The electrifying Iverson sat out the first of an expected two games with a sprained right index finger for Philadelphia, which also was missing injured big men Derrick Coleman and Marc Jackson. Rookie reserve Willie Green scored a season-high 20 points but Eric Snow was the only starter to reach double figures, with 13 points. Glenn Robinson was held to just seven points on 2-of-7 shooting and criticized coach Randy Ayers after the game for sitting him down the stretch. The Raptors have lost five in a row and six of seven, including a 96-89 setback at Chicago on Sunday. </div> Full NBA.com Preview Keys to the Game From a Raptors Perspective *Vince must drive to the basket: When he drives in the lane, he'll likely get his share of calls, and when he ends up on the free throw line 6-10 times a game, the Raptors will likely win. *Give the ball to Donyell Marshall and Chris Bosh: All season Donyell and Chris have shown what they can do when they get the ball in the post. If they're productive theres an even bigger chance for a win. *Don't allow McKie and Snow to take over the game: This happened last game against Philly late in the game, sure these guys are just normal role players, however you must play well defensively to stop them. *Bench points: This is a winnable game, and in order to get a win the bench must be productive. Last game against Chicago the bench had a franchise low 2 points along with a loss. *Get the crowd into it early: The Raptors have to play aggressive basketball. Kid Canada's Prediction: Raptors finally win 92-87. Only Reason is because AI isnt playing. But then again they lost to them before without him but Marc Jackson played well and he isnt playing tonight either. Air Canada's Prediction: Raps are due for a win infront of the home crowd. Raptors by 8+. thefranchise3's Prediction: The Raptors have been struggling as of late, its very important to win this game because the next two games are against Detriot and the Lakers. The games against the Bucks and Bulls hopefully have woken them up from their slump. Raptors by 3. <font color="red">Brought to you by Kid Canada, Air Canada and thefranchise3!</font>
Definite win for Toronto. The Sixers will be without Coleman and Iverson. They're without them right now too and are playing horrible against the Nets. I'd like to think that the Raptors would win this one.
If vince scores less than 20 again then its pathedic. Hes sinking down the scoring list. He started off number one at the beggining of the year and now hes bombing. I say vince will actually score and raps finally win
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AirJordan:</div><div class="quote_post">Toronto will win but...I dunno I have a bad feeling about Vince being guarded by Big Dog.</div> Have you been informed before that Bog Dog Robinson is one of the worst All Stars definsivley ?!! .. He shouldn't wait till the last minute before doing them.

He shouldn't wait till the last minute before doing them.</div> I wait till the NBA.com preview, I'll either edit your post or merge the two threads. BTW its not up to you when I do them, as I said earlier I wait for the nba.com preview, I think its better if people discuss the last game until the next game day. If I make a game thread right after the last game it will drive the conversation away of the previous thread, this way theres more conversation going on between games.
THis is a defniite win(look at the domination by the Nets). A good time to break the losing streak and bring some faith to the disheartened fans. The 5 game losing steak was never areason to panic in the first place. Get Vince touches, and get him to be more selifhs and drive to the bucket. Get our key behcn players some minutes anfd hopfully they will score...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AirJordan:</div><div class="quote_post">Toronto will win but...I dunno I have a bad feeling about Vince being guarded by Big Dog.</div> lol, to the absolute contrary. If VC doesn't drive today, he's either scared to get injured, or something is definately wrong.
Low scoring game I say, but the raptors should take this.. I think my highschool team can beat the sixers right now.... 85-74 raptors
Your predictions are very high, and I actually think they're kinda biased. Remember the Sixers beat us easily without AI earlier in the season, what makes you think it will be so easy this time? Especially right out of a slump...

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AirJordan:</div><div class="quote_post">Marc Jackson isn't playing, Allen Iverson isn't playing and Derick Colemen isn't playing so it's not the same as last time.</div> he means the last time we played philly without iverson and lost, nov 19th incase ya need a bit of a refresher. philly played without DC, big dogg AND iverson and still beat us. but i dont expect you to know much about basketball if your making comments like these = "Toronto will win but...I dunno I have a bad feeling about Vince being guarded by Big Dog." philly also beat the spurs without iverson, so they arent that much of a pushover, but luckily they just didnt bring it tonight, and the raps most certainly did. good overall effort from everyone. alvin turned it up when we needed him most. mo pete with some SOLID minutes off the bench. sh.it, even moiso got some love. on the moiso subject, he stank up the court again, in 14 mins of play, he picked up only ONE rebound. a guy playing center should at least do something more then ONE rebound. bosh, despite foul trouble, played really well the minutes he was in. im SO stokked on this kid, cant wait for his future as a raptor. (providing there is a raptor future for him)
Nice. Raps win by 10. They got off to a quick, effective start and didn't look back much for the rest of the game. Every time Sixers would make a run, Raps stopped them and brought their lead up again. Good win. Big-ups to Marshall, Bosh, and Alvin. However, I don't seem to understand why a lot of people on the Raps seem to forget about Marshall and Bosh many times on the floor...they're really effective for us and could help us so much more if they just got more touches.
