http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/410...and_e_williams/ Raptors Get Rasho Nesterovic Spurs Get Eric Williams Matt Bonner Raptors 2009 2nd Round Draft Pick Great trade for Toronto, no doubt. They get a center, whom I think is a pretty decent player, he just wasn't getting touches in San Antonio (obviously, look at their scoring power). But I think he will play well in Toronto. To top this off, you all must know E didn't want to be there anyway, so it works out for him because he has a chance to play for a contender next year. Bonner was ok in spurts, but inconsistant, and this also gets rid of a PF (good job), which really needed to happen. A 2nd round pick in 3 years will be nothing because I feel Toronto will be a good team by then. But overall, it gets them a center that is a good rebounder and can create oppertunities if given time. Great deal by Toronto. I front line of Bosh, Charlie V, Nesterovic, and whoever they draft - very nice.
Pretty good deal, although Nesterovic was on the downside of his career, he's past his prime. He's still a good pickup, but this can be the sign that Jamaal Magloire won't be coming to Toronto.
How is adding Radoslav Nesterovic a sign that they won't go after Magloire? Nesterovic is a big body and very average center who will probably play backup to whoever Toronto gets later.
Decent pickup for the Raps. If the Maglore deals don't go through, at least they have another guy to fall back on. Rasho is very lenky and a solid interoir scorer, which at rhe center Toronto needs.
Yeah, good trade for the Raptors. They were desperate for size and unloaded two PF/SFs in which they already have plenty of. So, they basically gave up nothing for a decent center they've been longing for.
NOOOO!!! WTF!!! BONNER?!!?!?! WHY BONNER WHY!?!!!!!!! Bonner was my favourite Raptors other then Bosh and Mopete. He was a fan favourite. This trade better help out the Raptors or I'll be pissed haha.
Oh dammm can't imagine Bonner in a Spurs uniform. He always loved the city and I thought he would be a Raptor for his whole career. You know whats funny? He's gonna sign autographs at this Pizza Pizza near my place tomorrow (Thursday) ... I wonder if any of this affects it.
Dumb trade for the Raptors. Rasho is not that good and that is why he was sitting on the bench for the spurs in the playoffs. He is slow and has no offense. Good luck to the Raptors because Rasho is not going to make a difference. Spurs also got the better of the deal financial wise. I didn't think anyone would be suckered to take Rasho's contract but I guess there is one born every minute.
I like this deal, because eric williams did not want to be here, so we made him happy. Bonner was a good person to have on the team, but we are stacked at the PF position. Rasho might give us a presence at the center position, which was one of the teams needs to get to this off-season. Rasho has a horrible contract...but as it says on the raptors website, we got cash considerations, so the spurs are picking up some of his contract.

Everyone on the Raptors forum is saying the Raps got the better end of the deal.We sent off a package therefore the salary equalizes. The worst that could happen is maybe lose 1 mil. Rasho is a decent center which at least can "bang" inside. The Raps never had any other bangers except Camby. At least Rasho can block shots and pass. Look at what we gave San Antonio. Eric Williams who is completely useless..... all he can do is complain about non-sufficient playing time. Bonner is only a 3point gunner ... he lacks defense and ballhandling. The 2009 second round is probably the best asset that they got out of this trade... but I'm sure this barely affects the Raps.So look at the lineup:Rasho/Pape SowBosh/Kris HumpriesVillanueva/GrahamMoPeteCalderon/Barratt/MartinWe still got the #1 and about $10M for free agents. Now Morrison/Bargnani/Gay seems pretty good for our team.
I think both teams got what they wanted out of the deal. They used a smaller lineup in the playoffs with Horry at center, but Bob doesn't have many years left and Bonner reminds me of him but bigger. I think this will work good for both teams, now I just hope the Spurs resign Nazr, maybe this was their way of proving he is the starter for them? Does anyone think that Williams will be kept or just waived?

Two defensive specialists right thereBut I gotta say Colangelo is slowly pushing this franchise into the right place. IN COLANGELO WE TRUST :worthy:

I mean, Nazr takes most of em?EDIT: yea, Rasho only averaged 19MPG last season
