<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Raptors general manager Rob Babcock yesterday said that he may dispatch a scout to have a look at former star NBA power forward/centre Shawn Kemp, who is training for a comeback and has reportedly dropped 55 pounds.

Babcock admitted that he also has talked with Kemp's agent about the troubled player's intentions in terms of his planned comeback. However, the GM believes that Kemp, who will turn 36 later this month, probably is not a good fit for the Raptors, even though he was the type of player who brings exactly what Toronto needs: Rebounding ability and size.

Hey, while we're at it, why not bring in Vin Baker as well? Two old, lazy, one more greats. That oughta teach Hoffa something. The only thing Hoffa has going is his work ethic, and Kemp/Baker will make him the laziest kid in the league.

Don't forget... Have one or two great years, take that huge contract and then don't try again.. and the funny thing is Kemp and Baker both played in Seattle ? same with Jerome James.. ? lol

Expect Kemp to come back and lead the league in illegitimate children...

I loved the guy back in the day, but later on once he left Seatle he was nothing but dowhill ... I can't see him having any more of a serious impact than an erin williams...

What Babcock should be doing is kissing keon clarke's ass to come back .. that guy is pure wasted potential ...

^^^^^ Keon Clark vowed he would never play in the NBA again, because of new dress code and blah blah blah, he was awesome in Toronto and we should have signed him again. Now this Kemp comeback in Toronto, don't know how well it would work but who knows.....

Yea, Feschuk interviewed Clark at his house, and Keon basically told him that he made all the money he needed from the NBA and was happy playing golf all day.

Ya i saw all that .. but knowing the mentality of professional athletes sometimes i think with enough baiting pretty much anyone can be suckered out of retirement...

Maybe if Babcock caught him while he was high on the golf course ....

^Reminds me of Snoop Dogg in Starsky and Hutch:

Babcock-You know a lot about Golf.
Keon-I know even more about grass.
