Quote:

TORONTO (AP) -- Pau Gasol scored 26 points to lead to the Memphis Grizzlies to 104-74 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

Memphis' 30-point margin of victory was a team record for a road game. The Grizzlies never trailed and led by as many as 37 points, one night after losing to Denver.

Bonzi Wells added 21 points for the Grizzlies, who outscored the Raptors 52-30 in the paint, 17-3 on the fastbreak and built a 49-30 rebounding advantage.

The Grizzlies had lost four of their previous six games, and needed the victory with a tough road schedule ahead. Seven of their last eight games are against potential playoff teams -- including two games left against both Dallas and San Antonio.

Jalen Rose scored 19 points for the Raptors, who absorbed their worst loss of the season, surpassing a 21-point loss to Orlando on Dec. 1. Toronto looked disinterested from the start and fans booed the Raptors as they left the court at halftime.

Just when it couldn't get worse the Raptors lose what could probably their worst game ever played. I don't even think tanking the game is the appropriate term, maybe BOMBING or even IMPLODING the season would be more realistic.

My bad for not posting the preview due to a hectic day.
This game just wraped an awfull day for Purple Fever. It was emberrassing to be a Raptor fan walking or driving on the street tonight.
If you didn't catch the game, you're blessed.

CV, the title of this thread should be nominated for the 'Understatement Of The Year'.

^I hear that multiply that by 10. I couldn't even watch the game in it's entirety. It was awful I tell you. You could just tell on the looks of their faces that the season was over. Too much individual play and too many individual players make this whole Raptors squad a bloody mess.

I'm done my rant. This season is dead to me after this game BRING ON THE DRAFT.

Anyone actually watch this game, it was disgusting, the Raps started off not even playing, we had 32 points in the first half, sad stuff really. Bosh really struggled in this one too, 6-20, 4 turnovers, 3 trips to the line. Alston had a glorious day with 1 assists, but you can't blame him since the team shot 34.6%. Even Bonner only shot 33%, but he did have a nice dunk, at least Rose did good offensively...

The only game I'm hanging my deadly loyality on is the April 15th matchup. If they show up like they did last night and let Vince and Co blow them out, there'll be some serious riots infront of the ACC.

I'm looking ahead to the draft. This season is in the books.

LOL damn right they better win. If not I think the Raptors fans are going to boo their own team even louder than they'll be booing Vince. [IMG]

Anyways, that game was terrible..even I felt embarrassed for them. I just hate how the crowd responds - instead of cheering and trying to boost their confidence, they boo them. That's horrible. I'd never do that.

It was funny how Chuck Swirsky kept saying "thank you for those watching at home for staying with us" like it was a big deal for the viewers at home to watch it. lmfao.

Wow, it's a good thing I decided not to watch this game..... but I kinda saw this one coming since we lost our previous game against the Grizz even though they were without Gasol, Swift, and Wells.

As much as these losses suck, they're doing more good for us than bad at this point. What really stinks though is that although we're sucking it up real bad right now, the Knicks have to suck even more than us. They've lost 8 in a row and aren't giving us a chance to pass them in the draft standings. But at least it's good to see NJ creeping in closer to Philly's spot..... so I guess there's a bright side to seeing VC's success with the Nets.

Damn right the knicks are sucking more!! Gerald Green is ours!! We are nearing the sixth lottery slot which would give us a MUCH better shot to get GG than the Raptors. I can see him in a Knicks uni right now............ [IMG] [IMG]

^ Yah well i guess we'll just have to see who sucks more on tuesday when the Raps head off to MSG.... lol

Seriously though I don't think either of us have a chance at GG.... Portland seems to be more crap-tacular than both our teams and they too are interested in him.
