QUOTE

After their biggest come-from-behind victory of the season, the Toronto Raptors talked of how they had no energy in the first half of their game against the Indiana Pacers.

Somewhere in the second half, the energy came. Improved defence led to improved offence and a 17-point disadvantage turned into a 104-93 victory before an announced crowd of 10,437 at the Conseco Fieldhouse.

It was the fourth victory in a row for the 14-10 Raptors. The Pacers dropped to 11-12.

The Raptors went home after the game and will play the front-running Boston Celtics at the Air Canada Centre Sunday.

It helped that Toronto point guard Jose Calderon, with two fingers taped together on his left hand because of a dislocated ring finger, kept finding Jason Kapono with his passes and had a career-best 16 assists to go with his 18 points.

It helped that Kapono kept draining them, even on one particularly high pass late in the game, and he made six of seven three-point attempts on the way to a career-best 29 points.

It helped that Chris Bosh pulled in 16 rebounds, eight at each end, to go with his 22 points and did not add to his foul total of three, which put him on the bench late in the second half.
