Brunson is a reliable backup PG. Last year, he we was effective for the Bulls. In 10mpg, he averaged 3.5 ppg and 2.1 apg. Solid numbers considering he was receiving sporadic PT at best. And what you get from his is reliability and defense, not to mention a pretty good passer. No, he isn't a star...........but his defense was good last year. He proved to be a good backup for us(Chicago). Its a solid signing.
With Brunson aboard, Skip To My Lou's short stint in Toronto is over with. I'm not sure why they didn't bring him back. I'm sure his presence on the team helps sell tickets to the game and he's already marketed heavily by And1. You would think his Streetball popularity and marketability could land him a spot on someone's roster. He has NBA experience and put up decent numbers for the Raptors. One of the small market teams should really take a look at Rafaer Alston.
I never saw anything good from Brunson besides the first few games he played this season after coming off the injured list.

Pure BS! As if things could not get any worse! I would like to know what Grunwald is on, and where I can get some! Three big PG's, not one slasher or with a strong ability to penetrate. This does not make any sense. Grunwald better back up these acquisitions by signing a quality Sg in Lenard,Barry,RBell etc... He traded a future 2rnd draft pick for Bonner, and now with these signings his chances of making the team are very slim. How could u pass on Marquise Daniels and Carl English? F%#K GG!!

By the Raptors signing brunson it is a clear indicator of why so many players are able to stay in the league, while others get let go. Your trying to tell me that Brunson is a better PG than Rafer Alston. Now I understand that Skip cannot do in the NBA what he so easily does on the mixtapes, but he is a solid player. With good ball handling skills, good passing ability, and with the right environment he can be a starter. Hopefully Orlando picks up Alston, and benefits from Toronto's stupidity.
