Mannn....did Pop tear into him. There were quite a few guys who thought that he should have stayed. He looked good last year and earlier this season. But something happened and he seems to have hit a wall. I mean he didn't say he should go out and die in the desert or anything like that.....but close enough [IMG] . Has he really looked that bad?

Last 5 games yes, averaging just 2 points on 25% shooting BUT he has still rebounded the ball a little and took up space inside by blocking some shots. Which really is his only job at the Spurs.

I don't get to see many Spurs games, so I can only go by the stats, but is Rasho worth it?? He doesn't seem to score much, and his rebounding #'s for a 7 footer are pretty low. I keep hearing that his #s are similar to those of Robinson's in his last year, but I don't think he helps the team as much as David did. Maybe they should begin to look at possible solutions to this, and one is not putting Duncan at center. Maybe a trade for Mourning..I know he's old and beaten up, but he can offer more than Rasho can..IMO. And the only really good thing about Malone possibly coming to the team is the fact that he wouldn't be able to injure any of our guys during a game like he did with Dave so many years ago.

He looked pretty good at the start of the season, I thought that he's going to play his best year but I was wrong...

^you are right, he plays with no passions...his reaction and his eyes-movement seem like he is not sure about what he's going to do, where to run and when to do the screen-out.

Get off Rasho , just accept him for the player he is...people want him to score and dominate but he aint that type of player especially with all the great offensive players the Spurs have. His job is to rebound and block/change shots which he does pretty well.

True he could be more agressive , but he should get better at that as the season goes on...hes had good games recently , he's been very active and he's been dunking.Rasho can play (remember last yr during the early 13-game win streak and late in the season when TD was injured)...he averaged a double-double (15 and 10).

Like everyone else , he needs touches to be effective on the offensive end...people look at his poor offensive stats and automatically assume that he plain and simply sucks , but nah it aint like that. The man just needs plays runned for him so he can get into a groove.Unless Pop gives him more touches then he needs to be content with his solid defense and rebounding.

I have to say that was a great point. You have watch the Spurs to know where he is coming from. The stats dont explain how a player is contributing towards his team Rasho is not an offesensive player he is a better defensive player, and this helps the Spurs by guarding the biggest guy on the floor and saves Tims energy for the other side and leaves the scoring to him i think he and Malik is a big part of this team almost as important as Tim,Manu
