The Arena Football League and the Arizona Rattlers announced that rookie WR'S ROD WINDSOR and ANTHONY MIX have won all league honors after the team's thrilling 77-76 victory last week against the Tulsa Talons. Windsor (6-2, 210, Western New Mexico) garnered the league's Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week award. He was an unstoppable force last weekend in Arizona's one-point victory over the Tulsa Talons. He grabbed 16 receptions for 230 yards and six of QB Nick Davila's eight touchdown passes. He also rushed twice for seven yards and two touchdowns. Windsor's 48 points scored against the Talons is a Rattlers record, breaking the previous record of 42 set in 1997. In the Rattlers' first three games of the season, he has made 10+ receptions for 100+ yards and at least one touchdown in each game. Windsor is on pace to score 48 receiving touchdowns in 2010, shattering the Rattler rookie record of 30 as well as overall Rattler record of 45. Windsor is also leading the league in receptions (40) and receiving yards (513). Mix (6-5, 230, Auburn) is awarded this week's Spalding Highlight of the Game from a play where the Arizona wide receiver sent a shock of excitement through the crowd of 10,083 Rattlers fans. Mix showed just how athletic of a player he is, grabbing a pass from WB Nick Davila with one hand. Not only did he make a droppable catch, Mix then proceeded to bulldoze his way through two defenders into the end zone for an Arizona scores. Mix made nine catches on the night for 126 yards and the lone touchdown. Windsor, Mix and the rest of the Arizona Rattlers take on the Tampa Bay Storm this Saturday, May 1. The game will be televised on AZ-TV Channel 7/Cable 13 with kickoff slated for 4:30pm AZ time. The Rattlers return to the USAirways Center on Friday, May 7 when new West Division rival Spokane Shock comes to town. Kickoff for the Spokane match-up is at 7:30pm.
