The Arizona Rattlers celebrated their first ever Latino night in front of a large 10,217 person crowd at US Airways Center with a dominating 79-50 victory over the visiting Bossier-Shreveport Battle wings behind their most known Latino star *QB NICK DAVILA *who threw for nine touchdown passes. The Rattlers are clicking at the right time and if there is one thing for sure, they have no problem scoring points. Led by a high-powered offense and a record breaking performance by star rookie *WR ROD WINDSOR* as well as a suffocating defense, the Rattlers (7-3) took down the Battle Wings to extend their season-high winning streak to five games. The rookie Windsor added to his breakout season by making 10 catches for 157 yards and a season-high seven touchdown grabs to eclipse the Rattler rookie receiving records for both receiving yards and touchdown catches, both previously held by fellow *WR TRANDON HARVEY*. His 1,474 receiving yards and 32 touchdown catches are now tops for any Rattlers rookie. Windsor wasn't satisfied with just breaking Rattler record as he also set the league record for receptions by a rookie and now has 123 on the year. "(Trandon) is a great player," said a confident Windsor, "but records are meant to be broken." The Latino Davila cemented his status as one of the elite passers in the league, throwing for 319 yards and a franchise-tying nine touchdown passes on his way to earning Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Game. It was the second time that Davila has thrown for nine touchdowns this season, the first time coming in Utah. "We played well in all three phases of the game," said Head Coach Kevin Guy, "we started fast by scoring on the first play of the game and we got up by a few scores and kept our foot on the gas pedal." The 29-point winning margin is there largest of the season, coming on the heels of a dominant defensive effort led by JLS Ironman of the Game *LB KELVIN MORRIS*. Morris was a stalwart in the middle of the defense, picking off Battle Wings quarterback Gary Cooper while also providing the Rattlers with their first safety of the season. "My first half wasn't up to par," said Morris, "I was just trying to lock-in and make some plays for the team." The Rattlers defense pulled out all the stops, stopping the Battle Wings (3-8) four different ways. Morris contributed with an interception, safety and forced fumble while a collective defensive effort stopped the Bossier offense on multiple fourth-down plays. The defense as a whole had three sacks, one each from *LB DARRELL SHROPSHIRE *and *DL ANTTAJ HAWTHORNE* and a half a sack each for *DL MARCUS PITTMAN *and *DL RON JONES. * After Davila's ninth touchdown pass, *QB BILLY FARRIS* replaced the starter and again proved why the coaching staff is so confident the team's depth. Farris went 2-for-4 for 22 yards and two touchdowns and looked comfortable in the pocket in his two series' behind center. The Rattlers finished a three-game home stand in style by bringing their home record to 4-2 amidst the long win streak. The Rattlers will be tested over the next month as they embark on a brutal three-game road trip against the South Division-leading Jacksonville Sharks (7-3, 4-0 at home), the West Division-leading Spokane Shock (8-2), and the Midwest Division-leading Chicago Rush (8-3). "We're going to take it one game at a time," said a confident, but humble Guy, "We are going to Jacksonville and we have to get ready to play a big game." *GAME NOTES* JJ McKelvey recovered a fumble on a kickoff and caught a touchdown pass on the next play from scrimmage... McKelvey has had a touchdown reception in every game he has played this season... Alex Guerrero had a tackle for loss, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble... Brandon Freeman lead the team with nine tackles... The Rattlers had a chance to set the all-time single-game mark for most points in a game (83, multiple times), but the coaching staff chose to run the clock out and not run up the score on Bossier City... Windsor needs only 78 yards to set the AFL all-time rookie record for receiving yards...
