Thomas Jones is very underrated. He consistently rushes for over 100 yards each game. He rushed for 139 yards against the Baltimore Ravens defense. Their defense isn't having a good year in the case of turnovers, but they are still a very good run defense and Thomas Jones demolishes them.

Yeah Jones is good--I'm confused why they drafted Benson, why didn't they draft Jason Campbell or Aaron Rodgers, dont you think they need a steady QB more than a HB? Orton is O.K. but they would have been betterI'm glad my 'skins got Campbell though [IMG]

I think they drafted Cedric Benson to make Thomas Jones better. Take some pressure off him, and everytime you find out that you drafted another running back, or whatever, you just always end up doing good. It is like you do not want to lose your starting job.

Kind of makes you think of what you said postscript because if they don't want to give him a lot of money maybe you are right that that was just for competition. However, it is HIGHLY unlikely. If you're a team like the Chicago Bears you don't just waste a high draft pick like that.

Same situation in San Diego last year. They lost confidence in Drew Brees so they drafted Philip Rivers but that year happened to me Drew Brees' break out year. It's probably the same situation with Thomas Jones, this could be his break-out year.
