<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>?He?s going to be very selfish,? Allen said of Bryant. ?And he feels like he needs to show this league and the people in this country that he is better without Shaq. He can win championships without Shaq. So offensively, he?s going to jump out and say, ?I can average 30 points. I can still carry the load on this team.??I think the point production is not going to be so much what people are going to look at because (Tracy) McGrady did it in Orlando, Allen (Iverson) did it in Philly. Can you win a championship? I think that?s the question. Carrying guys on your back and making everybody better.??If Kobe doesn?t see he needs two and a half good players to be a legitimate playoff contender or win a championship, in about a year or two he?ll be calling out to Jerry Buss that ?We need some help in here,? or ?Trade me,? ? Allen said. ?And we?ll all be saying, ?I told you so,? when he says that.?</div>http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/sonics/?ti...p;tb=1&pb=1Holy Crap. Ray Allen is a physic! :shok:
I remember Ray Allen making those comments and calling Kobe selfish for taking that $130 million dollar contract, and they brought this up on Fox Sports Radio last week. Ray Allen is the man.
well, I don't think it was much of a surprise to anybody. I think Ray Allen is in for Kobe dominating him next year though.
wow, thats a smart ass dude. seriously though, Kobe aint dominating Ray next year, especially with KD coming in.....lol
That's right Jesus Shuttlesworth! You tell em! I remember Kobe and Ray Allen going at it during the regular season 2 years ago, talking about each other in the papers and getting chippy on the court.
Ray Allen reminds me of Reggie Miller more and more, that's the kind of thing Reggie would've done. There are some players who are just so much smarter than others.

Ray steals the ball from kobe 1on1 then kobe blocks ray... I'd say it's even(.) Well what kobe did Lol makes it look like its not even.
I don't believe this. Why can't Ray Allen and Kobe just get along. It's a shame how so many guys are jealous of Kobe because he got drafted into the league and went on to win 3 titles while they didn't and now they talk all this trash now that he is in the same boat as they are. Allen should of signed with LA when he was a free agent a year or 2 ago. I heard the Lakers made a offer but he turned it down along with offers from Miami and a few other teams just to stay with a losing team that unlike the lakers don't have a shot at all. Atleast LA gets to the playoffs.

Allen might have been a bit out line, but he was absolutely right.
It's funny to see that some people are acting as if Ray Allen just said this stuff today... he didn't! He said this when Kobe re-signed, and like LakersFan247 said, they are fine now and Ray was right...And by the way, it's "psychic", not "physic"... physics is a science. :dribble:

That was years before any of this happened. The clip I posted was IIRC the day after Ray Allen made the comments. Everyone in Lakerland was all pissed off about what Allen said (even though it was pretty true) and then Kobe went and did that. If you wanted a Kobe vs. Allen clip war I could probably pull out some other times Kobe blocked him or juked him or scored 9 3's in a row against his team.

I still wish he would of came over to LA though. He could of been our point guard or Kobe could of moved up to SF or something. I think those two would be great on the same team.
