I never knew he was such a great guy. First of all he is such a classy guy, when he was interview at halftime in the Nuggets-Sonics game, he wasnt being cocky or anything after he broke the single season record for most 3's in a season. He was having a good time and enjoying the last game of the season, the way all players should even if thier team isnt going to the playoffs. It was fan appreciaction night in Seattle, and with 4 mintues left after siting basicly the whole fourth quarter, the coach asked him if he wanted to go back in. The fans started to cheer for him and he went back into the game. If that isnt a sign of a good guy I dont know what is.

This thread is old, but I just wanted to say I was at this game. It was great getting to see Ray break the 3pt record and seeing him dunk on Andre Miller haha. It was basically just a feel good game. Everyone was laughing and generally having a good time. It was great to chant for Ray and have him come back in the game. Just a great game to be at all around even if it wasn't because of the level of competition.

Living in Seattle, I was a little upset when they traded GP for him, but I think it was good move. Allen has been a consistant force for them, I think if they can pick up an actual big man with talent instead of drafting all these "potentially good" bigs, then they would be all right. I also think Nate leaving was why the team did so bad in the 05-06 season.

I don't quite agree with you on some points, first of all I'd just like to say Ray Allen is a great shooter, and the Sonics did a good job tradin GP for him. However Ballinboy, yous ay that they should stop getting "potentially good" bigs, don't you think Wilcox will amount to something this year? Remember the end of last year's performance? Along with the fact that he was just getting used to a new team's style and rotatin. Wilcox should amount to a very effective big man. Jordan4pres, Ray Allen isn't even near up there with Kobe's, defensive abilities, scoring mastermind, and huge name. Ballinboy why did you bump this?

I was referring to the drafts they've had, which is why I said drafting 'potentially good' big men. It had nothing to do with Wilcox, I know he's going to be a monster. I was referring to Petro, Swift, and Sene. They did do a good job for trading GP for Ray, I was saying that I grew up watching GP and was upset to see him go. That's all I was talking about.
