Crazy putback slam at the end of the Shard one.

And why doesn't Ray throw it down like that anymore?

^^Ray like all players realized the two points is two points, dunking doesn't matter and can shorten your career through injuries.

Props to Brent for the touch pass in the Shard mix, I had forgotten about that play, classic.

I guess I was thinking more about why doesn't he drive and score as much now. There were at least a couple times in that video where he went one on one with his defender and shook them out of their shoes. Nowadays I see a lot more of him dribbling it between his legs a few times then just shooting it, like he's too lazy to run to the basket or something.

True, but with a J like he has, can you blame him?

He still throws it down every now and then, like that dunk of Nesterovic in the playoffs last season.

That's true but if he penetrated more often think of how much more deadly he would be. Defenders would have to think about backing off on him and going under screens, leaving his j wide open.

Hes scared to get injured if he goes to the rim, I honestly get scared whenever he attacks the rim.

good stuff....I remember that tip...it was just nasty. Also, that dunk he had vs the mavs last season...that was just awesome. Drove baseline and dunked it over two guys. Ray...i remember when he was with the bucks he always used to drive baseline and do that reverse dunk. i guess he's playing smart though...

    lets not forget....the reign man.

especially that windmill, baseline....mann!!! brings back the good ol days.

Gee...thanks for making me all weepy.

Why doesn't Whatifsports have a way to simulate what would have happened if Wally Walker never got hired and Kemp stayed clean and thin?

It made me sad for the Sonics to see GP and Kemp in that footage, and even more sad for Kemp...what a loss that was for the league. The lockout year ruined a number of careers, though I think Kemp was on his way down that path already. He just slid more quickly without GP around to keep him from tipping over the edge.

Ray was in the slam dunk contest many years back, maybe his rookie season. I know he had the fade haircut back then [IMG]

How many guys have been in the dunk and 3pt contest anyway? Jordan I remember...

That Kemp footage is amazing. I was trying to forget those days existed. It's just easier that way. This team isn't half of that team, and there isn't a player in the league that is as nasty as Shawn was back then.
