I just read that EA Sports has announced that the Madden 2005 cover will feature Ray Lewis. What's funny is the AP site, where this was mentioned, also mentioned the Madden Cover Jinx. Oh, well. It couldn't happen to a better guy.

Yeah it couldn't happen in a better division either... it would be nice for the Steelers to not have to deal with that Lewis twice this season... [IMG]

lol, SF, even w/o lewis the steelers arent going anywhere, they still need a few good years, but w/o lewis your offense could get something going against the ravens

We almost beat them at the end of last season and beat them in the home opener... Don't forget that Mr. Nflfan! [IMG]

I am not superstitious but if the Madden curse happens so be it.

The fallout will only prove what I've theorized for years that Zach Thomas is the best MLB in the game.

I'm sorry BA Zach Thomas has been a great Linebacker for the phins but is not the best LB in the league. I'd take urlacher and Lewis over him anyday of the week and because of his versatility I might even say I'd take bruschi over him as well. Zach is definitley a top ten middle LB but nowhere close to Urlacher and Lewis. They are by far above the rest at thier position.

Versatility. All RL does is bark like the mongrel he is and wait to hit you. Urlacher has potential to be versatile but still has not proven himself.

Bruschi is good but Vrabel is the best IMO on New England. Maybe, Colvin will supplant both once healthy.

While ZT prefers to play the run, I have seen him cover RB & WR's. Further, he is also effective and efficent in zone coverage. I may concede that Strahan may better than J. Taylor but can not see myself acquiescing on this theory.

I'm not saying Bruschi has been a better player than ZT but I do think he is more versatile and last season did have a better overall year. As for your Lewis comments you obviously just don't like the guy. I have never seen a MLB that can stuff a running back for a loss on one play then pick a ball off 15 yards down field on the next play.

I hope Lewis doesn't disappear. My 4 year old daughter does a great impression of his commercial...what time is it? game time! any dogs in the house? woof woof woof.

Lewis has talent and of course it is argumentative as to how good he is compared to others. He is, however, the leader of a good defense that has been through many changes over the last 5 years. That in itself makes for a good MLB.

Well i think its just a slump because every one knows that the only real curse out there is the boston sox one.
