As most of you know the Rays picked Tim Beckham with the first overall pick. One of the reasons why he is a 1st round pick is his brother Jeremy pushed him hard to concentrate on baseball over basketball and football. The Rays decided to pick Jeremy Beckham a 2B Georgia southern with a 17th round pick. This should really help the younger beckhams development and maturity. The Rays have learned hard why some player shy away from HS players because of maturity with the Josh Hamilton and Delmon Young fiascos.
