The Charlotte Bobcats have traded center Tyson Chandler(notes) and Alex Ajinca to the Dallas Mavericks for Erick Dampier(notes), Matt Carroll(notes) and Eduardo Najera(notes), a league source tells Yahoo! Sports. The Bobcats are “very likely” to waive Dampier and his $13 million non-guaranteed contract for the 2010-11 season, a league source said. A proposed trade between the Bobcats and the Toronto Raptors fell through. The Bobcats had earlier agreed to trade Chandler and forward Boris Diaw(notes) to the Raptors for guard Jose Calderon(notes) and forward Reggie Evans(notes). Chandler told Y! Sports on Monday he had been told he was being traded. Sources said Bobcats owner Michael Jordan had been hesitant to trade Chandler, who averaged 6.5 points and 6.3 rebounds last season. Done deal.
