<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post"> Brad Miller often has been a reluctant shooter for the Kings. He's passed up wide-open jumpers, even though he ranks among the league leaders in field-goal percentage at 51.1 percent. "Sometimes you've got to change things up," he said after making 8 of 14 from the floor and 12 of 13 from the free-throw line for 28 points. Miller said he made up his mind before the game that he was going to look for and take shots when opportunities arose.</div> Full Story
About time. He's a decent mid range shooter, and is one who can hit those shots to further stretch the defense. I don't know how many times he's passed them up to try and "slash" into the lane - something not recommended for someone his size to do heading into traffic.
He's a very decent mid-range, even long range shooter. Making that three against Portland was very shocking. From what I saw from his time in Indiana, he was an able scorer. In Sacramento, he's just trying to hit his teammates more. Good to see him learning the King concept: pass when you have to and shoot when you want to.
A lot of the time when you watch him, he can be wide open for the jumper and he'll either drive, pass the ball, or hesitate to shoot the ball and then shoot it. And when he hesitates like that, he mostly misses the shot. It's good to play unselfish ball, but you don't have to apologize for taking a wide open shot.
Stojakovic: The hell are you doing? I was only doubled teamed! Pass! Miller: Geez, sorry for being open.

Miller can really boost his scoring numbers by taking his shot more often. He's only gonna shoot less when Webber gets back, since Adelman will presumably run plays for CWebb that often go through or around Miller.
I think Miller needs more confidence in his shooting ability. When your open for the shot just shoot it,don't hesitate. Its good to pass the ball but you need to know when to shot the ball.
IMO, i think he has just been getting a better feeling for Kings Basketball ...He is picking up on it better every game , hence the reason why he is going to the All Star game..... He very well might be the missing link that Sac has needed to get over the hump in the Western Conferance playoffs .....I can't wait !!! Go kings~
