Really though, do we need a PG?

Blake is a dead on 3pt shooter, unselfish yet, when he is hot... he will keep shooting. If not, he will pass. He is not the best defender in the world. Cannot guard Parker, Williams, Paul, but really, who can? So I am not too worried about that. But against the average PG, Blake is just fine.

The more and more this team plays, the more I think we really do not need to make any trades. We have a pretty damn good team as is.

My vote for our starting PG is Greg Oden. Have you seen his passes tonight?

And once Greg gets his hands better (at catching the ball in the post) good Lord he is going to be trouble for other teams.

I love the idea of Kirk Hinrich, but not so much now with the jobs that Blake and Serg are doing.

Our team is playing so well they're making it impossible to make any deals. That's a good thing though.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Portland doesn't need anything to be competitive. Upgrades are always appreciated.

I've always been a Blake fan, and Joel is my hero. We have two great centers and three good point guards....more if you count our combo guys. I personally hope they let these guys cook for a couple of years. It's obvious they like each other and they play the most unselfish ball I have seen the Blazers play in years.

That's what Bulls fans were saying about players like Deng and Kirk Hinrich. They passed on Kobe and Gasol, now look where they are. I'm not saying we are in the same situation that the Bulls were but if the right deal comes along we should take it and not be saying "well we should just sit and wait to see what we have." By that time it could be too late.

No doubt. The only thing Greg Oden isn't better than Shaq at is being fat.

He just needs to work on the jumper!

His court vision is elite. If he can stop dribbling into defensive traps constantly and can start hitting jumpers, we have our PG for the next decade.

I get what you're saying but we are not the Bulls. We have an All Star and a definite future All Star. At least.

True he needs to work on his jumper, he has an ability to get by his man but doesn't have the ability to finish. Sergio's attempts at layups are laughable sometimes. It's like he acts as if it's going to get blocked.

You guys are lucky to have a 2 guard in Roy who CAN play like a PG for you. That is always a luxury. Blake is very serviceable, and I caught a glimpse of Sergio when they played on either ESPN or TNT, his shot isn't consistent, but his passing was impressive. You guys have a ton of talent on your team.
