That's a question a lot of you guys seem obsessed with, so I dug around a little bit on Wednesday and tried to find you an insightful answer to the question.

Here's what I learned after talking to a couple of people in the know:

* Bollinger doesn't have a rocket arm, but he can make all the intermediate throws and he's accurate from about 45 yards on the deep ball

* He's a better athlete than he looks, even though he has a slight build

* He was running for his life, when he played in New York and that created some bad habits that prevented him from succeeding there

* The Cowboys just want to give him this season to immerse himself in the playbook and see what he can do next year in training camp. They'd love for him to become the backup when Brad Johnson decides to leave

* He's a good fit in the quarterback meeting room. What does that mean? It means he understands his role and accepts it.

It means his personality meshes with Johnson, Jason Garrett and, most important, Tony Romo.

* He feel so comfortable that he's already giving Garrett some thoughts about the game plan, especially when it comes to formations

I'd still like to draft a QB in the mid rounds next year and develop a backup.
