Now I haven't been here for a while and im wondering why everyone thinks it's fair to suspend Artest for the entire year because personally I would have done the same thing that Ron did,and he didn't even land a punch during the entire thing.First if you watch the tape carefully(as I did I just happened to be taping the game thank you Ebay ) you will see him first lay down on the table as Ben Wallace overreacts then once the beer hits him he jumps up runs over to the person he thinks did it (he got the wrong one) and only grab the person but not punch him at all then you see the other fan dump a whole cup of beer into Artests face and get slugged by Steven Jackson.Then after that he is being punched by the instigator of the entire thing and throws a punch but barely makes contact with him.Then he walks down to the court and is attacked by 2 fans but doesn't even hit the guy in the face...now if all this is taken into account shouldn't it be Steven Jackson getting the whole year off and not Ron Artest?
I'm pretty sure Dre said don't start more threads on this topic.... Well the way I see it, just because many of us would have acted in the same way doesn't make it okay. Let's say that someone had......attacked his mom while they were walking down the street. Let's say he literally kills the guy. I know that personally if someone did something to my mom, their ass would be toast. But they wouldn't justify killing or even hurting them. Basically, just because we can relate doesn't excuse the lack of self-restraint. The court is literally his office. People shouldn't act that way while in their office, even though many of us agree that we would have done the same thing.
