Recall: 222,959 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken salad products

    Boston Salads and Provisions Company is recalling about 222,959 pounds of chicken salad products due to possible contamination with Listeria, officials say.

    The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said the ready-to-eat products were produced between Aug. 23, 2013, and Oct. 14, 2013, and were shipped to wholesalers for further distribution to retail locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

    The products -- in packages ranging from 7 ounces to 30 pounds -- subject to recall include:

    -- Boston Salads Chicken Salad.

    -- Boston Salads Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad.

    -- Boston Salads White Chicken Salad.

    -- Dietz & Watson Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad.

    -- Dietz & Watson Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad.

    -- Dietz & Watson Tropical Cranberry Walnut.

    -- Dietz & Watson White Chicken Salad.

    -- Market Source Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad.

    -- Northern Haserot Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad.

    -- Price Chopper Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad.

    -- Rachael's Gourmet Caesar Chicken Salad.

    -- Rachael's Gourmet Chicken Caesar Salad.

    -- Rachael's Gourmet Chicken Salad.
