I know its too early, but NBADraft.net has Memphis with 1st pick overall. That got me thinking, what IF we got Oden. Our lineup could look incredible.C-OdenPF-GasolSF-WarrickSG-GayPG-Lowry~OR~C-OdenPF-GasolSF-GaySG-MillerPG-Lowry(These are future lineups btw.)I would also like to point out that supposedly, history repeats itself every ten years. And what happened to a certain NBA team 10 years ago, David Robinson got hurt, and San Antonio ended up with the 1st pick in the draft. Also, Gasol has been known to be called the "Euro Tim Duncan", both have very similar low post moves(you can disagree all you want, but watch Duncan and Pau play, they have the same type of game). And who is Oden compared too? David Robinson. What a coincednce.Link to Mock Draft

Not happening.</div>Thats not true, he may come back very slowly, and even if we are around .500, we still have a chance of being 1st overall. Just thinking hypothetically guys. You have to admit, this is a weird coincidnce
I will have to be watching Adam Haluska, from Iowa, since they have him being drafted by the Cavaliers. I can't wait until we finally get our guard issues sorted out so I don't have to hear about looking for a new guard all the time.
I do not want to see an upcoming big star like oden in memphis, he is the kind of player I see being with a storied franchise, maybe like the celtics or something but definately not the grizz

but austingriz is right though, I mean San Antonio isen't really that big of a market and they ended up getting duncan, so you never really know.
Damnit, im trying to get Memphis on the bigger news, can somebody move this back to General NBA. Im trying to get the Grizzlies back into BBW talk. And thats how a low-market team becomes a weallthy and known franchise, that certain player puts them on the map. How do you think Lakers and Celtics got so big? People forget that the Grizzlies have only been around for a short 10 years.
It is a long ways until next year, and who knows what will happen come draft time. Some players could fall off this season, others will become much bigger by the end of this season. If the Grizzlies could get Greg Oden, that would be a good pickup for them. A big man down low that can play, that roster you showed of Oden, Gasol, Warrick, Gay and Lowry would be a nice athletic line up, but they would not have much shooting at all. In the half court, it would be hard for this team to score. That second lineup with Oden, Gasol, Gay, Miller and Lowry is nice, plus puts someone on the floor that can hit open jump shots. Warrick coming off he bench would be nice athleticism coming onto the floor, and a good sixth man. Either lineup I could go with. The one I was looking at was Kevin Durant to the Charlotte Bobcats. I don't know how much I like that pick, as they picked up a forward scorer in this years draft, with Morrison. I really think they will need a shooting guard, to come in and play.
I moved this here because it's about the Grizzlies. This thread won't generate more Grizzlies talk, honestly. I have to follow the rules.
