What do you think about the rumors of Miggy and Johan that surround the club? How about the possibility of losing Lowell, the cornorstone of our World Series team a year ago? What about the kids who are yet to show their stuff in the big leagues, like Bowden and Brandon Moss?

Lowell will come back. The Yankees can't get him, because they'd have to chose between Mo or Lowell. And they'll stick with Mo.

The Yankees have been kind of lethargic in signing who I think is the second face of their franchise (behind Jeter, of course) and I'm thinking that maybe they're looking at other options. He played well last year, but not the usual lights out Mo that we're used to seeing.

Lowell was made for Fenway. He wouldn't be as good at YS. IF we were to convert ARod to short, move Jeter to first, and keep Lowell at third, we'd be better off. But I'd still rather have Mo (my favorite player right now, and third ever)

If we keep Jacoby, what do we do with Coco?

Keep him too. No point in trading him for the sake of trading him. He's still great as a pinch runner and defensive replacement.

I'd keep him for depth. He would be a hell of a fourth outfielder. UNLESS the Twins want Coco to replace Hunter in center field and are dangling Santana...

Cavelli showed flashes of greatness later in the season and when he was healthy so I imagine he still has pretty substantial trade value. He's only 28 and reaching the prime of his career. There are more than a handful of teams interested in a gold glove CF.

Including a certain Twins team that just lost one.

    But only for Santana.

Are the Twins not going after Torrii at all this off-season?

They made him an extension offer during the season i think, but he rejected it. So they decided to part ways.

Well we have Lowell back and I think that takes Miggy off the table. It looks like Johan wants a 6/$126 extension and I have a gut feeling the Twins aren't going to pay up. They have Liriano in the wings whose a 20 game winner easily. But let's say we don't end up making any significant moves in this off season; what are we left with? A young core with an expirienced, solid shell. A starting five that could easily be tops in the ML. More to come.

Or a team that won it all last year + a ROY-in-waiting in Jacoby Ellsbury.

    Don't count on it.

Phil and Joba will be there all year. One of those two will win it.

6/126 is just a starting point because Zito got that. He'lllook for more.
