"It looks like a decision on the future of Red Wings forward Tomas Holmstrom won't come until next month. Holmstrom told the Free Press on Monday that he spoke to general manager Ken Holland and "they're going to decide (in the) beginning of July what's going to happen." Holmstrom, 39, is mulling whether he wants to play another season, but this indicates that if the Wings want him, he'd be open to returning. His wife and kids want him to play; Holmstrom's concern is that he has a lot of hard mileage on his body after 15 seasons, especially his knees."
