<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Worthington, Ohio - Michael Redd will soon have more money in the bank than he can count in a day, but he doesn't seem much different to the kids attending his basketball camp. On a sultry summer Tuesday near his hometown of Columbus, he showed up in a white Milwaukee Bucks shirt and basketball shorts and spent the day directing about 100 campers at the Michael Redd Basketball Camp. Less than a week after Redd's agent, Kevin Poston, announced that the shooting guard would re-sign with the Bucks for six years and between $90 million and $96 million, the former Ohio State guard was directing drills and shouting instructions. "Way to work today, guys," he hollered out. "Looking good, looking good." Redd doesn't fear his big payday will change him or his approach to pro basketball. "Me, I'm already fine," said Redd, who chose the Bucks over the home-state Cleveland Cavaliers in a heated two-team battle for the left-handed shooter with the quick release. "I love playing basketball, man. "To me, I'm the same person that I was five years ago when I was making $700,000. I just love the game. It doesn't matter how much money I'm making."</div> Source Famous last words. I hope Redd can stay grounded, but the reality of it is you just cannot stay the same person. I like reading about athletes participating in local basketball camps and being positive role models for the kids in the area. It's one thing to donate money, but it's more powerful when you actually show up and talk the kids face to face and interact with them.
if redd wants to be the kinda guy who doesnt change cuz of money and wants to be a big time guy and all that he needs to be more consistent and play defense. he got a lot of money for what hes done but i think theres more he can do and i hope hes gonna improve not get fat and happy.
