<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">St. Francis - The wait is finally over for Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Redd.

After sitting out more than six weeks with a left patellar tendon injury, Redd will be back in the lineup when the Bucks play the Detroit Pistons tonight at the Bradley Center.

When Redd was injured while dunking the ball in the final moments of a Jan. 5 game against Cleveland, the Bucks were in the thick of the Eastern Conference race with a 16-17 record. Now they are 19-34 and trying to rebound after the all-star break, in the final 29 games of what has been a strange and injury-marred season.

"I'm glad to be back, and it's going to be fun," Redd said after the Bucks' evening practice at the Cousins Center, as the team got back together after the four-day break for the All-Star Game. "I don't know how effective I'm going to be the first couple games.

"I'll probably be a decoy more than anything. I don't expect too much of myself. I want to play well, but we'll see what happens."

Redd took part in the Bucks' full-court scrimmage at the end of practice, and he admittedly was winded.

"I'm trying to get my wind back and get in some kind of shape for tomorrow," Redd said. "The toughest thing is getting my legs together. The only way you can do that is by playing."

The Bucks will play four games in five nights as they return to action, with road games against Indiana and the New York Knicks on Wednesday and Friday, followed by a home game Saturday against Philadelphia.

"It's amazing," Redd said. "You never miss anything unless you're not involved with it for a while. What a team to return against, the Detroit Pistons."</div>
