Redick likely will dress for his second game of the season when the Orlando Magic face the Celtics on Monday night in Boston. Coach Brian Hill said he plans to activate Redick and deactivate PG Travis Diener.</div> It's about time, wow. I mean I understand that there is still Grant Hill, Keith Bogans, and Keyon Dooling at his position, but I'm very surprised J.J. hasn't even seen the floor yet. I hope he makes his debut tomorrow, seeing how I will be at the game, plus he needs some run. This kid is a rediculously dynamite shooter and he can move well without the ball. I think he's going to be a solid player in this league.
This will be good for the Magic, especially if he can get into the game for a bit, and get his outside stroke going consistently. That is the one thing that Orlando has been missing this year is a consistent outside shooter. Hedo can hit the three, but nowhere near consistently, and when he isn't getting the ball or shooting alot he gets lazy, stops going into motion, and really stops playing defense as well as he can. Redick will hustle the entire game I think, even if he isn't getting the ball or scoring alot. I'm hoping he works out well tonight.
I'm definitely going to watch the game then.JJ was my favorite college player and I want to see how he plays in the NBA.
I have been wanting to see this kid play. I hope he puts up good numbers so he can play in games after this one.
sh*t man, he still didnt play. I really want to see him play and I think that alot of people who say he isnt an NBA player and all of that nonsense are dead wrong. Anybody who averages that many points in college can be a decent NBA player IMO. I think his role in Orlando is perfect and that when he is healthy, he will be able to accomplish great things. He better play next game!

The NBA style of play is much different from college and some players never adapt regardless of how well they played in college.Redick has slow feet, He's not a good defender, He's undersized. He will get his fair share of jump shots down but I don't see him becoming the player people think he can be.

They don't need him to play great defense, just try to stay in front of his man and don't get killed to much. They don't need him to create off the dribble when he's in, as in college he looked out of control alot while driving in. They just need him to go into motion at all times on offense, try to get open without the ball, and shoot quickly and accurately when he gets the ball. That's all they need him to do, and the team will help him with the getting open by setting off ball screens, and running plays to get him open. He doesn't have to be the player he was in college. I think he will be able to fit that role very well, and be a big contributor in the Magic's future.
