<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rookie shooting guard J.J. Redick continues to spend most of his time on the sideline, and often on the inactive list, but his jersey continues to be among the best-selling of all the Magic players. After the Magic managed a season-low 10 field goals in the first half of their 111-95 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, Coach Brian Hill was asked again why his first-round draft pick -- the finest shooter in college basketball last season can't get any significant playing time. "Right now the problem is -- who do I take off the floor?'' Hill said. "It's a question of the guys who are playing in front of him. Right now, that's where we're at. He is earning his playing time.''</div> Source So let's recap: The fans love him and want to see him on the court, we need a three point shooter and he is one of the greatest shooters the college game has seen, and when given significant minutes against New Jersey, he proved he could play by hitting 3-4 from three point range and dropping a career high 13 points in 21 minutes. You suck Brian Hill.

<div class="quote_poster">MrJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Isn't Brian Hill a defensive-minded coach?</div> Yeah he is and don't get me wrong, he has done a great job defensively. Our players are aggressive on defense and we are one of the better defensive teams in the league. However, Brian Hill's terrible offensive game planning really hurts this team. Our offense lacks creativity and at times it seems like there is no plan at all. We have Dwight setting picks around the three point line and then when he can't get back in position under the basket, Arroyo, Dooling, or Nelson are jacking up jumpshots. Playing Redick at least gives us a consistent threat to hit those jumpshots and I trust J.J. with the ball more than I do our other three guards. Also, why deactivate J.J. after he had a career night scoring 13 points? That kills his confidence and slows any sort of momentum he might have had. There is no reason for Pat Garrity to be activated and Redick isn't.
