When pressed by a reporter for Oil & Gas Journal she went further, denouncing government support for renewable energy. "I just don't want things to get out of hand with incentives for renewables, particularly since they imply subsidies, while ignoring fuels we already have on hand." Yes, it is a socialistic idea to spread the windfall profits made from oil drilling. The truth, however; is that she has nothing to do with its implementation. The kicker of this all and what should make her absolutely unelectable is that she's against incentives and subsidies for alternative energies, but all for incentives and subsidies for oil drilling in her home state of Alaska - which would drive up windfall profits for her Alaskan constituents. She has no concern for the rest of the nation if you go by her proven rhetoric with regard to supporting alternative energies.
The Earned Income Credit is most definitely "redistribution". It is a creation of Ronald Reagan. Taxation itself is a redistribution of wealth, as are wages, Christmas presents for your relatives and friends, Tithing to your church, and each and every act of capitalism performed. Without redistribution of wealth, capitalism ceases to exist.
So, you have enough bucks to pave your own road to work; lay pipes, wires and cable from the utility companies to your home; fund your own military, Fire dept., Police dept.; build your own airports... Must be nice!
