The Redskins continued to bolster their defensive line, or at least add more depth, by signing end Darrion Scott.

The problem is, Scott hasn't played in the NFL since 2007 and spent last fall with the UFL's Florida Tuskers, where he played under current Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett.

Scott has had some productive seasons in the NFL, but also earned a three-game suspension at the start of the 2008 season for violating the league's personal conduct policy. He did not sign with a team after his suspension.

In July 2008, he received a two-year stayed sentence for putting a plastic bag over his son's head. At the time he called his actions "stupid and reckless."
