I'm not sure why Ogden was selected though.

Contrary to poplular belief (and people who don't watch games) Ray has showed he still can play, being 3rd in league in tackles with 121, and also with 2 sacks, 2 FF, and 2 INTs (1 for a TD) this season.Didn't make it just on rep.

In what could come as a surprise, the Ravens have nearly as many Pro Bowl players as wins this season.

The Ravens, who are 4-10, will send safety Ed Reed, offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden and linebacker Ray Lewis to the NFL all-star event.

Reed, who was named to his fourth Pro Bowl, is the Ravens' only starter. Ogden and Lewis are reserves.

"To be selected with these other tremendous athletes is an honor," said Reed, who is tied for third in the NFL with six interceptions. "I am really excited. This Pro Bowl thing never gets old. This is something I share with my teammates."

Ogden, who is headed to his 11th straight Pro Bowl, has acknowledged that he hasn't been able to play at his usual elite level because of a toe injury.

"It is always great to be recognized, but to be named this year is probably the most special of all of them because of the season we are having and the fact that I played hurt a lot this year," Ogden said. "Even though I was hurt, and not in there as much as I wanted to be, I gave it everything I had. Even after all these years, the validation this honor carries means a lot to me."

Lewis, who is among the NFL leaders in tackles, will go to his ninth Pro Bowl in 12 seasons.

"I share this honor with my team, my organization and my city," Lewis said. "No matter what stage in life you are in, if you give everything you have in your heart, you will be rewarded."

Linebacker Terrell Suggs and special teams standout Gary Stills did not make the Pro Bowl but were named first alternates. That means they would receive an invitation if a Pro Bowl player is injured.

Running back Willis McGahee is a second alternate.</p>
