<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rasheed Wallace fired up a shot and then threw himself to the floor. Then he got up, faked a limp and did it again. "Working on my D-Wade flop," he said, laughing. The dead-on impersonation of some of Heat guard Dwyane Wade 's theatrics actually had the entire team laughing during Thursday's shoot-around. But Wade's flopping, and subsequent trips to the free-throw line didn't seem funny during the Pistons' 87-85 victory Thursday night. "You can't do nothing to D-Wade," Wallace said. "If you say 'boogety-boogety booh' to him, that's a foul. If you give him a hard look, that's a foul." Heading into Thursday, Wade had attempted a league-high 163 free throws -- 11.6 per game. He made 10 of 13 Thursday. Chauncey Billups leads the Pistons with 111 attempts. But the Pistons aren't the only ones who think Wade might get a little extra protection. "He gets all the calls, that's what makes him special," Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace said. Said SuperSonics coach Bob Hill : "It's unbelievable what he gets away with." Wade has taken the high road, telling the Miami Herald, "It doesn't bug me as long as the calls don't stop." But Heat coach Pat Riley said the complaints are a not-so-gentlemanly form of gamesmanship. "I think they are just playing a scam," Riley told the Herald. "They're just whining. I think everybody's just complaining to try to think they can get an edge and hope they will influence the officials in some way. "Dwyane deserves what he gets. There isn't anybody in the league that attacks the basket more." The Pistons' plan entering Thursday's game was to attack Wade first.</div> Source
He certainly does get a favorable whistle, but I never noticed him getting any more in the way of star calls than Kobe does.
Im starting to not even like wade anymore because he is such a drama queen. every time he gets fouled he's usually laying on the floor for a couple extra minutes, then he's limping to the free throw line to shoot, and ends up with 40 points in the game. He fakes everything to get a call and i think the refs really should start paying attention to this BS. Basketball is a contact sport and should be treated as such.

Dwade has 50 more attempts than Billups because he attacks the basket twice as much.

<div class="quote_poster">XSV Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Basketball is a contact sport? I must be watching the wrong game or something...</div> Not exactly, but little contact doesn't mean you go flying and limp afterwards - like Wade does.
I find it pretty funny how you're accusing Wade of over-exaggerating when I see you in the Knicks forum defending Yao when he clearly over-reacted to contact after a block by Nate.
He isn't crying, he is stating facts It is a joke how much Wade gets away with. His flopping is getting almost as bad as Vlade Divac's was. Anything is a foul when he attacks the basket these days. Great quote from Sheed. Got to love him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Dwyane deserves what he gets. There isn't anybody in the league that attacks the basket more." </div> Ok so what do you call what lebron, kobe and ai do? Dwade just gets more and1's

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Your making that statement while you have Allen Iverson as your favourite player. That's irony</div> Iverson is my favorite player because he doesnt flop and he plays like he doesnt care about his body. Iverson attacks the basket more than wade does and takes a beating every night. wade on the other hand flops, fakes a limp, stays down for an extra 10 minutes taking a rest, and then goes back and scores 40. i've seen some of the most terrible calls for wade so far this season, the refs will give him everything.
im not saying he doesnt get calls, because he shoots alot of free throws. but you dont see him crying on the ground for five minutes on a ghost call. or flailing his arms and doing a 360 in the air after a layup attempt to get a call.
every person who takes it hard to rack (Wade, Bron, Kobe, AI, etc.) tries to initiate contact and overreact to get the officials attention.
ive watched videos on youtube where some of the fouls seemed like the NBA wanted the Heat to win by calling fouls on a ghost or something
