I read an article on Yahoo that said Bush is ready to hold out if the right offer didn't come along and is willing to stay out for the whole season and possibly re-enter the draft.

IMO, I think this is a stupid, stupid, STUPID move by the "heisman trophy winner." I've never had a single bad thing to say about him nor a good thing so I am willing to say that he is missing out on something good. Look for what he has done to New Orleans from the draft until now. The tickets are sold out, he made so much money in advertising, and he wants more? HELL NO! I'm surprised he didn't request for a trade when he found out he wasn't going to make as much money. And for those who drafted Bush in the fantasy leagues and starting him, I have one thing to say, IDIOTS! IDK, if that was my anger talking or the fact that it's 101 degrees here in San Diego, but I'm out!

I read somewhere after the draft that Benson would pony up the Dead presidents for Reggie. I thought Benson who is very frugal I've heard had a fever or something.

FWIW, Its 102 in my little corner of Salt Lake County and I love it.

i always think its stupid for rookies or anyone for that matter to hold out it fucks them and the team up especially if you are a big contributor like Reggie is expected to be

I heard that Reggie wants more money than Mario, the Saints shouldnt give it to him. Mario was picked first so he deserves the most money. It would be probly the only time in draft history where the 2nd pick gets more than the 1st.

Is there alot of humidity in SLC? Here it's pretty hot and sticky and I find it hard to do anything without breaking a sweat. But right now, it's like in the low 90's and is cooler.

SLC is a desert of sorts. Humidity is not a problem except when its raining.

Yeah, if the Saints give Reggie more money than Mario, they're dumb.

Bush is a moron if he tries to hold out and re-enter the draft. He should just sign whatever contract New Orleans offers him and tack on some incentives for yardage numbers and Pro-Bowl appearances, etc.

He's going to make a ton of money in endorsements anyway... He should just take the money and run. (No pun intended)

Well I heard that Bush was told by the Saints that he would be treated as if he was drafted first, which I would imagine means getting as much or more then Mario.

He is smart to hold out. He is a bust waiting to happen and will not get another contract after this one, so he needs to get as much as he can

Bush is doing what he thinks he needs to do. Football is a business. If he thinks that he can get a better deal by holding out while not jeapordizing his future, then good for him.

IMO, I think its a bad move. He'll be coming into camp with the aura of a selfish player. He'll lose time getting to know the team, and he runs the risk of hurting his incredibly great public image. I would think that he will give in at some point during the middle of training camp.

Yeah, and it looks like he is giong to be starter this year cuz TJ is doing what he did last year, talk about not learning from mistakes. Ughh! At least we signed all of our draft picks early this year.

Laurence Maroney has yet to sign with the Pats. Perhaps he's waiting to see what Bush gets as a measuring stick.

I guess my point is, regardless of the contract he signs, it's going to be more money than he's ever seen in his life and, if he's not an idiot, more money than he could ever spend.

Just by taking Mario Williams' exact contract and accepting a mere 10% less, he's guaranteed over $20,000,000 in the first two years of the deal. Add in endorsements for Gatorade, Nike and various NFL video games and you never have to work again. Even if you destroy you hip in your first NFL start...

I reiterate: Reggie Bush holding out = Dumb

(You agree that it's dumb, but for different reasons which, by the way, I also agree with.)

Maybe Bush's goal is to be first black NFL owner and he needs to make as much money as oossible to do that. Probably not the case though. I will laugh and laugh and laugh if he gets hit by bus tommorrow and cant walk again, cuz then he gets nothing, they saints wasted #2 pick.

That's a pretty f'd up thing to say... But like I said before he was told he would get treated as if he was the #1 pick, so he wants to hold them to their word, and I don't see anything wrong with that.

Reggie has brought life to this organization, and to the city. Whatever price it is, sign him.
