Taking the 2nd pick of the NFL Draft the Saints selected Reggie Bush. Is this a good thing or a bad thing and what will happen to Deuce McAllister? Will he be traded? Will he start or just split time with Bush? Thoughts?
I think they will trade Deuce, there is no need to have 2 starting calibur players at the same position like that. If he isn't traded I see him sharing handoffs with Bush for Bush's first season.
Considering the cap impact that trading a player like Deuce McAlister would cause I cannot see it happening. To be honest, I believe when the Saints took Reggie Bush that they had every intention of holding him hostage for draft picks. The only problem there is that it kinda backfired in their face. I think they sign Bush now and have one hell of a rushing attack for the next few years. Maybe if Sean Peyton plans on being innovative he can create enough 2-3 runningback formations to have both of them start next season.
The Saints are going to go from an extremely sucky team to one hell of a good one. I'm very impressed with Brees for making such a good decision to sign with this team. As for D-Mac, I think he and Bush will both play every game.
not to mention Bush can also play Wideout very easily. So they don't neccessarily have to trade Duece.
