<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SportsCenter has changed the way people talk about sports.

Cavaliers television announcer Michael Reghi has taken it to a new level. Reghi can broadcast a basketball game without using the words basket or ball.

For Reghi, it is ``the rack'' and ``the rock.''

The Cavaliers have been an afterthought for Cleveland sports fans for nearly a decade. If a Cavaliers fan had gone that long without watching a Cavaliers game on TV and then turned on the tube to catch LeBron James, he or she would likely be in a state of confusion.

Reghi is not a bad announcer. He brings plenty of enthusiasm and knowledge to his broadcasts, he just does them in a language all his own.

Reghi ownz. He makes the game very exciting to watch and i am very entertained when he is hyped up. With Austin Carr on his side they make a very entertaining comentator duo.

I still miss former Cavalier Jim Chones, he was my boy when he teamed up with Michael back in the orange and blue days.

Reghi also does baseball for the Baltimore Orioles.

Reghi is a solid announcer. It'd be nice to hear Tom Hamilton on some of Lebron's dunks though.

I also like Goukas a lot, sadly the same can not be said for Austin Carr. He's fine in the pre game, but when he does color for WUAB its brutal. Actually, WUAB as a whole is pretty tough to stomach.

What would be weird is not having Reghi there for a game.

He has had some throat problems lately though, remember? ha

Yeah, Reghi's voice disappeared the last few minutes of the Heat game I think. That was pretty funny.

It was almost as bad as Christmas day listening to Joe Tait. The cable went out so I turned on the radio and Joe had a bad cold. You could barely make out what he was saying, and when he did speak, he was being so vague that I had no idea what was going on. He was pretty much just saying "a pass...a shot...its good." However, he seemed like he was on a 30 second delay so I could tell way in advance if things were going well or not just by the crowd reaction alone.

Bahaha Reghi's dissapearing voice was a classic moment. I couldn't help but laugh the whole time. "cough-cough uhh Huuwagner...cough-cough...uh. Then color would take over. haha

Reghi sounds great, I just can't stand to look at him.....he looks too made up, too fake. Tait is my favorite, its too bad he doesn't have "the look" you need to be a tv commentator. Chones was the man, I used to sell him and his daughters kicks back in the day at Koenigs.....man were they all TALL!!

I think Reghi brings a lot of excitement to the game. My favorite expressions seem to follow a powerful dunk from Bron or Booze. I love it when he tells Lebron "don't hurt that rim young man." I would take him over Bill Walton anyday. The only thing I don't particulary like is his lingo for the players getting a rest. "And Silas is gonna give LeBron a blow here in the second half." I could do without that.

Reghi and Chones were still the best, I don't mind Austin either, I love it when he gets mad, because when he is mad, usually I am mad.

It's also funny hearing Reghi's enthusiasm go away when we are losing by a good number of points. "LeBron....takes it to the time line, ripped away....by Nash, finger role.......Nash."

And is it just me or does Austin Carr seem a lil boozed up before he takes the mic?

Yep, that's the line I remember most!

Reghi looks like he's made of plastic. That's a clear sign that the makeup person should be working in funeral homes and not for a TV broadcast. Poor Reghi looks fresh from his coffin, in need of a fresh supply of brainsssss! [IMG]

Reghi has definitely had some hair care treatment. My guess would be a transplant. Its always all slicked up and its almost see thru. Whenever they show him on TV my eyes are automatically drawn to it.

Reghi is fine. But sometimes he does annoy me. His excitement it great when the Cavs are winning. It's hard for me to not like Austin Carr because he was one of my favorite players from back in the day. But, he is hard to listen to at times. I like Goukas & Reghi. They make a pretty good team.

For some reason though, it bothers me that Reghi does Baltimore Orioles baseball games. Maybe it has something to do with Baltimore & Art stealing the Browns away.

Yeah no kidding. I always find myself staring at his head. That's some bad hair.
