<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf doesn't grant many interviews, but what he had to say Thursday about center Eddy Curry and coach Scott Skiles was worth noting.

During an exclusive interview with WSCR-AM (670), Reinsdorf seemed to balk at the idea of signing Curry to a huge contract, but he was confident that Skiles will be locked up for at least another year.

"I don't know where it's written that [Curry is] going to get big money,'' Reinsdorf said. "Let's wait and see what happens.''

Curry will become a restricted free agent after this season, which means the Bulls can match any offer he receives. A new collective-bargaining agreement might affect the scenario. Curry has been inconsistent this season, but he has helped the Bulls drastically improve their fortunes. His agents asked for a maximum contract extension before the season, and that ended the negotiations.

''You're always nervous when you give any athlete big money and a lot of years,'' Reinsdorf said. ''There isn't a good track record in sports for players with long-term contracts. ... [But] sometimes you're just forced to do it because of market conditions.''

As for Skiles, the Bulls have an option on his contract for next season.</div> Source
