Unfortunately results come before playing attractive football. Take Arsenal for example. They play some great football, very entertaining football, but they don't get the results that perhaps they should. Then you look at Chelsea. Yes, they can play some good football but I would be the first to admit that sometimes we do play more of a defensive style of play and get the "results" from it. We do get a bit of stick from this but just look at where we are on the standings in both the Premier League and the Champions League plus our success over the last couple of seasons.
Yes. Results do come before attractive Football. But you would get a lot of stick for playing unattractive football. Before Chelsea was considered to play boring football, but lately they haven't been that way (take that as a compliment Chelsea fans, don't get that from me too much).
Very few teams can get away with looking stylish and also winning. Valencia was one a few seasons ago IMO, and so was Barcelona.
yer last year especially, barca were playing attractive and efficient football. That woz awesome. But yes i do agree, results do have to come before attractiveness. If u can do both (like lyon this season IMO) then u r a great team. But yes i agree with united4life, chelsea arent boring anymore, although i still hate them.
