    Bremen's defender Christian Schulz happens to be born on exactly the same date as Ribery (April 1st, 1983) yet he takes a big bow to the Frenchman.

    According to Schulz players of Ribery's calibre are "very rare in the Bundesliga. His abilities are exceptional", said Schulz, and German national coach Joachim L&ouml;w describes Ribery as "a highly intelligent footballer."

    Pander second

    After his convincing performances in the Bundesliga Franck Ribery was voted "footballer of the month" in August. The Bayern-player received 55.5 % of the votes.

    Schalke's Christian Pander (who scored a belter in Germany&acute;s 2-1 win at Wembley) came second with 40.3 %, Tommy Bechmann from VfL Bochum third with 4.3%.</div><div class="txt_fliesstext"></div><div class="txt_fliesstext">[​IMG]</div><div class="txt_fliesstext"></div><div class="txt_fliesstext"></div><div class="txt_fliesstext">Looks like no one can stop Bayern.     a top 2 finish lol. They should cruise Budesliga this season with a team like that. Also did you know Ribery's face is like that due to a Horrific car crash when he was younger. Apparently his mum died in that crash aswell

    I was going to ask about that. And during his last game they were showing him praying on the pitch, and I believe they said he converted to islam when he was younger? is that true?

    Kind of strange that he did convert later on. And I've just learned that his nickname is Bilal the Scarface. haha</p>
