He also has experienced swelling in his knee. The two goalies squared off in the finals seconds of New York's 3-0 loss to Pittsburgh on Wednesday in a fight that lasted precisely one punch as Mr. Johnson floored Mr. DiPietro with a left hand to the head. This is the latest setback for the Islanders' oft-injured goalie—Mr. DiPietro has missed the majority of the past two seasons due to various ailments.
