I just turned on the 11 p.m. (local time) SportsCenter to learn of this interesting development. I was shocked for a moment but glad that Ricky like Sinatra "did it his way"

I perceived that Wanny is really pissed. Darn. I guess He will truly have make good on his saying the Dolphins will become more balanced. Did anyone believe that w/ Ricky @ TB that Miami would actually be have a balanced attack?

Miami will be okay. It was after they acquired Ricky before the 02 season that things started going downhill. Getting Seau before last season only furthered the decline. I don't blame either player - just the coach. The acquistion of Boston was good but looks brillant now

Travis Minor & Leonard Henry will do okay as a committee. Will Miami use Konrad in a Alstott like role? I hope so. Fred Russell & Renaldo Works who played @ Iowa & Oklahoma (NCAA) last yr respectively now have a chance to show what the can do. Their styles IMO are more conducive to a wide open attack.

I was hesiatant about the season but am looking forward to it now as I know Miami's chances are greatly diminished at making the playoffs but will still finish 2nd in the AFC East.

The timing of his retirement is pretty odd. Why wait until just before training camp to make this announcement?

When Robert Smith retired it had a pretty negative effect on the Vikings. It wasn't that we couldn't replace Smith with somthing servicable, it was the surprise factor for the franchise.

I think this is going to hurt Miami more than you think. Williams was a big part of the team.

Wow, if Feely is the guy that's expected to carry Miami, they could finish with a 6-10 record. The East is tough enough, but to lose your star running back and have no real threat on offense, it could make for a long season.

straight from one of the S Florida papers >>> As one Dolphins starter put it Sunday: "Ain't nothing Wayne can do now to talk Ricky out of it. There ain't nothing, especially, that Dave can say. He thinks Dave is a joke anyway.").<<<

Who knows maybe Shaq Diesel will quit the NBA & take Ricky's place?

Im ready to move on without Ricky....you make choices and you live with them, and they choose to trade 2 numbers 1s for a lunatic, so no they pay....the team will be fine, its not like Ricky lead them anywhere the last 2 years anyway...
